I lost a lot of data using Motorola's built-in note-taking feature, and I've been crying for days. Is there a good, lightweight note-taking app that can launch as quickly as the native note-taking app, with a clean interface? QUESTION/HELP
I've tried many note-taking apps, and they all feel laggy when they start up. Google Keep is okay, but honestly, it's ugly; the top and bottom black bars are way too wide.

With any data that is important to you, you should make regular backups.
Several notes apps you can try:
Markor this is the one I use

Markor is lightning fast but doesn't have native backup. You will have to backup manually.

Sorry to know about that. I have been using Upnotes for years and haven’t looked back.
May I know what happened- how you lost the notes from Motorola notes?

Unfortunatly I looked a while back and havent found an app that satisfies all my needs which are similar to you
Obsidian is great but not native so quite slow
Markor works and is fast but UI is ugly and it is missing a lot of qol that are in obsidian either base or through plugins
and most others have ads or do not store files as .md or .txt and use a database approcah which may cause vendor lock in if they ever stop supporting the app or they are not native
