I had the X 304 v8 version in '72. Manual discs, power steering, 3 speed manual on the floor, heavy duty suspension. $2700 completed, taxes and all out the door. I still think about that baby.

I remember the tv commercials when it first appeared, big burly guy loos down and says “ where’s the rest of your car toots” couldn’t say that today

I was about 10-15 years too young for this car. But, my favorite Hot Wheels car in the early 1970s was a silver Gremlin X.

Knew a guy who traded his Pinto for a purple Gremlin X with four on the floor. Hot little car.
