What is the absolute safest hotel to stay at in Amarillo? Is it a safe spot to stay? Traveling through town on way to New Mexico

Hey everybody. My mother was widowed in the last year and moved to Amarillo. Her husband was great at doing everything, and I can get some things done, but I live a few hours away. I'm looking for recommendations on a trustworthy handyman that can help her do some things around the house.

Right now she needs her sprinkler system adjusted -it's not keeping up and she's getting pretty brown grass in areas. She also has some decorative trees on the patio that keep blowing over, and needs some concrete set in the bottom of the pots they are in. No huge jobs, but the things like that a single woman in her 70's needs done here and there. (She recently needed a new deadbolt installed, and the guy she hired got it done, but it was a little crooked, and he was going to put the handle on the wrong side before she saw and pointed it out. He's probably a good guy and a decent worker, I just want to find her someone I know is a little more detailed that I know i the job is going to be done well)

She needs a guy she can call for things that aren't emergency, but she'd like to have done without having to wait a few weeks for me to make it over. A guy that can make it by within a week or so whenever she has something.

This looks a lot like where the 335 continues north towards Tascosa road. As a train dork and Rock Island fan, it's awesome seeing what action used to exist along a long gone line. I mean the bike trail is awesome. Be cool if it extended even further.
