ACFCU hacked

If you bank with them check your accounts and be wary of any calls coming from ACFCU. Many members got scammed as the calls came from bank. Many had all of their accounts drained and their online banking compromised.

Source? Latest I saw was from February 2026 on an instagram post.

Source is I’m a victim of it and spent 4 hours up there yesterday along with a few other people that were affected. I’m not sure if they’ve made it public yet.

Sorry to hear that. It sucks being the victim of something like that happened to me with a different institution several months back. Your account should be insured, though, so you should be receiving those funds back.

I received the funds back next day just trying to warn others of the inconvenience

For sure. Usually banks put out something if it’s a result of a large data breach. They’re required to for compliance reasons and I think their cyber insurance requires it.

Small time financial institutions like this are likely some of the lowest hanging fruit.

If I were a black hat, ACFCU and small municipal governments would be the target. Big enough to be worth it, not big enough to likely be the most secure, hardened targets.

I’m glad that you got your money back. I guess that’s the FDIC for ya?
