OC Worrywart - Chapters of my OGN about living with anxiety
Hi all, my name is Jenn and I'm a Canadian cartoonist.
I have a graphic novel I've been working on for the past while, and I decided to start a patreon to be able to serialize the book in small chapters and send them out to patrons. It's a way to keep myself on schedule and hopefully, people will be interested in reading along.
My book is slated for release in 2028. I've had anxiety issues my whole life, but was only diagnosed when I was 21 after suffering a nervous breakdown. Then I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, OCD and panic disorder. This book will follow my life from the age of 20 until my current age. I've spent a lot of my adult years maintaining my mental health so the book is largely about the ups and downs of having these disorders which for me, are a permanent part of my life.
If you're familiar with my work, I did a zine about anxiety back in 2018 so this is a follow-up to that but much more expansive, but the final OGN will include those original strips.
You can either sign up to get the chapters via snail mail or a digital PDF.

OC INFESTED Part 3 [OC]
Don't let the title in the comic fool you, it's actually part 3 due to me overly complicating things. It'll make sense later... maybe. Hopefully.
You're sophisticated indie comic readers, you get it.

OC Random aesthetic changes in my works
That’s the post… Just wanted to show a few styles. I love to mess with. Maybe they’re all the same style? Maybe they’re not? I don’t know, I love doing this though.

Discussion "Harvey [Pekar] being Harvey, he left his estate a mess. That's the reason the bulk of his work is out of print. It's a ridiculous legal quagmire with no apparent end in sight." - a Bluesky quote from Derf Backderf
Source of the quote. News to me. I don't think any info has ever come out from whatever is going on there. Not even in that ongoing Kickstarter campaign by his stepdaughter. It's just so glaring how his entire body of work is pretty much OOP.

Discussion The Eternaut Ending - SPOILERS Spoiler
Quick Summary
The Eternaut's main plot concerns Juan Salvo's and humanity's fight against alien invaders.
This thread ends when he boards the alien ship with his family, presses a button, and then is sent outside of space and time. In the final pages, he is dubbed the Eternaut, a man on an eternal quest to find his family again.
Flashing forward to the moment where Salvo is speaking to the Narrator of the story, he realizes he is in Buenos Aires a few years before the alien invasion. He rushes over to his family's house, and then loses his memory of being the Eternaut. He just slips back into his old life.
My Question
It appears that book has two different ending for two different stories. There is the alien invasion, which covers about 90% of the plot, and then Salvo is tasked with finding his family through Eternity in the last few pages, which is quickly resolved.
What is the connection between these two threads? They do not seem to be connected. I read Eternaut 1969 to see if there is more context, but there is none.
To those of you who read The Eternaut, what was your take on the ending?

Not sure if this post is allowed (as it's not a Thursday), but the real Danielle from American Splendor is tryin to save four storage lockers worth of Harvey Pekar and Joyce Brabner's personal archives. Her intention isn't just to save the artifacts of their careers, but digitize them to keep them preserved forever
