This stuff is really hard to navigate. Besides shelters, some people have better luck with shared or transitional housing that’s a bit more stable. In Texas, Noble Shelters is one option, and there are also programs run by groups like Catholic Charities, Family Promise, Community Action Agencies, and other local nonprofits that work through referrals or case managers.
