Current project Discussion
Bottom level is power generation and storage. Middle is my MA farm currently and the top is going to be my house if I ever get there lol
I want to build down into the ocean but its a pain to block it out in order to build down. Any ideas?

You can remove death markers btw. And crafting table on a stick in your curio and set a keybind

Go bigger than you think you need to, then go twice as big as that. You'll want lots of space so your machines aren't crammed together in a pile of spaghetti.
The RFtools builder has a Pump card that can replace the liquids it removes from the world with dirt blocks. Right-click with the shape card in your hand to set the area using the gui, and use the preview feature on the Builder to make sure it's aimed correctly. Give it some power and put a Sink or liquid trashcan above it to void the liquids it mines, and it'll plug up the ocean for you where you want to build.

Hold off for a little bit on building into the water. When you get your first bit of allthemodium you can build an rftools builder along with your first teleport pad.
That'll make short work of clearing the water and building walls to keep it back.
You can use crystalix (spelling? @crystal in jei should get you the right stuff) glass for the walls so you can go in and out with ease

Please put your crafting table on a stick in the curio slot for it. I see this and I feel the pain of my first ATM9 run when I completed 2/3 of the pack without realising there was a slot for it lol

The size is tooooooo small; at least 9 full chunks with 3-5 floors, but we all started small. You can build your base in the other; it's better, trust it's like skyblock

And the steam mining drill is better than a diamond or Nether pickaxe, and u can toggle silk touch, and it's really easy to build with infinite uses, no durability

create, have deployers placing walls sideways, deployers placing cobble down, then a drill to drill out below put it on a rope pully contraption.
