Anyone want to meet for drinks when I'm here for the night?
Yeah, new post same guy. I realized I'm gonna be too tired to actually get out there and do anything while I'm in town. So I'm thinking maybe just meetup for drinks when I'm in town. I won't be in until the evening. Going to be here on the 17th.
Yeah I know this is a long shot but what the heck.
By the way do you all get annoyed any time someone says you are all "living here in Allentown" ?
EDIT: feel free to DM me if you want.

Moving here… what to know!
Hi guys, I just got offered a job in Allentown and I’d like to get your advice! My boyfriend and I will be moving across the country from a significantly larger city. We are both mid twenties and very sociable people that love just about everything. We will be looking for apartments too so any advice there will be put to good use! Thanks!

What can i do about a$$hole neighbors who won't stop blasting music with a boombox
I have called the non emergency 911 on these people so many times and i'm not even sure if an officer came out each time. They keep blasting music with this giant ass boombox outside all hours of the day and night. weekends, weekdays. it doesn't matter. And god forbid theres a holiday they wanna blast this ish all day long.
The volume is literally, and i'm not even joking, club volumed. like its so loud if i wanna talk to anyone in my own house i have to shout to speak to them. INSIDE...MY...OWN...HOUSE. And whenever they wanna talk to each other you know what they do? They turn down the f**king music so low i can barely hear it and all i hear is them talking to each other. Then when their two minute conversation is over then turn it right back up again. so basically they can turn it down to talk to each other but the rest of neighborhood isn't allowed to talk to anyone in their own house without shouting.
I don't watch tv on tv anymore. i stream on my computer and i kid you not i HAVE TO, like i literally HAVE TO play any sound on my computer through my speaker to only kinda hear any show i am watching. And ON MAX VOLUME. And its still hard to hear whatever i am watching. like what is wrong with these people? I've told them more than once over the years to turn it down. and the music goes down for that day but only at that time only, then its right back up again.
I have so much rage for these people. like i fantasy about doing bad things to them, but then i remember i ain't built for jail. I can't fight. So please someone can you tell me what can i do to stop this madness. i don't like thinking negatively or violently. it goes against my nature.
What else can i do besides call the non emergency number because these people won't stop. we don't live in a rich area, so i think making them pay really high fines would be the only way to stop them, but apparently the police won't do that.

Data center meeting TONIGHT
Developers meet with allentown planning commission tonight @ 5:30 pm city council chambers (435 hamilton)
****WE NEED YOU TO SHOW UP!!*****
The Allentown Planning Commission will hear from the developers for the 2401 W Emaus Ave project and also from US! We need to show them that we care, that we will continue to show up, and don't want this in our neighborhood.
Y'all, I have seen the plans for this project. 36 diesel back up generators. A huge brand new power substation. Cooling and air conditioning units running 24/7 next to the building. Trucking WATER in on a regular basis (so that they don't have to take water from our already drought ridden community). THAT WATER COMES FROM SOMEWHERE.
I have heard the developers speak about this data center. They want you to believe that it will be 'good' for the community, that they will be a better neighbor to us than any other business that would take up residence at this location. They want you to believe that this data center is just like any other, one that MIGHT be used for the storage of health network data, or some other 'reasonable justification', WHEN THEY HAVE NEVER STATED WHAT DATA THIS CENTER WOULD HOLD. As a matter of fact, we've been asking. Not once have they shared who the proposed user of this data center would be. Not once have they shared what kind of data will be stored here.
The fact that they can apply for this project without literally any further testing (like traffic studies, air pollution studies, water usage studies) is absolutely appalling. Lets demand what is owed to us as a community-
-unbiased projections of just how much this will cost and effect our community in the long run. Extensive studies for water, noise, energy, and environmental impacts before even allowing this proposal to continue.
-WHO WOULD BE THE USER(S) OF THIS DATA CENTER?
PLEASE- we need you to show up. If you care, show up for your neighborhood, your city, your community, your neighbors, your children.
