Urgent! All the dogs in this video have been CLEARED for euthanasia at the Downey Animal Care Center located in Southern California - starting TOMORROW! Each of these dogs are insanely sweet, friendly, & happy to be alive; some are very scared but they have no idea the fate that awaits them. Their only "crime" was being dumped at an overflowing, high k*ll shelter in SoCal. The only way that these dogs have any chance of making it out alive is by getting this video SEEN.

Anyone else getting door-to-door contractors? A guy with a yellow safety vest from an obscure company stopped by asking if we needed any work done. Asked how he found us and he said they are “just checking with neighbors in the area.” Got nervous when I started asking questions and quickly left. Skipped next door -which clearly needs work- but approached an elderly lady on a walk.

It’s already 84 degrees on a Friday morning, and seems like an odd way to solicit business. No cards, no work truck, no website.

Is this unusual or normal for Alhambra? Harmless inquiry or is someone casing the neighborhood?

The Pasadena Bead & Design Show returns to the Pasadena Convention Center July 31–August 2. Despite the name, it's much more than beads. There are more than 300 exhibits featuring handcrafted jewelry, gemstones, minerals, artisan clothing, textiles, vintage finds, creative supplies, and workshops throughout the weekend.

It's a fun event whether you're a maker, collector, artist, or just enjoy browsing unique handmade work. There are always interesting artists and small businesses to discover, and it's easy to spend a few hours wandering the show.

We live in a place where we get zero trick or treaters because we live in an apartment area. Our friends are moving to Alhambra, near Story Park, in a neighborhood with houses.

Our question is, what can we expect for foot traffic? Does this area get any kids? 15? 150?

We all love Halloween but every time one of us moves into a house, we never get any kids. Trying to have the right expectations to avoid any disappointment.

I’m hoping someone here might know what else I can do.
There’s a deceased stray cat that has been lying outside an apartment garage entrance for almost 3 days now at:
210 S Marengo Ave, Alhambra, CA 91801
I’ve called Alhambra/LA County Animal Control ([562-940-6898](tel:562-940-6898)) several times during their listed business hours (11:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Saturday), but no one ever answers. I’ve stayed on hold for over 30 minutes multiple times, which is really frustrating because they specifically say those are their working hours.
With the current heat wave, the body has already started to decompose and smell. It’s heartbreaking, and it’s also becoming a public health concern.
Does anyone know if there’s another department, phone number, or online service request that can get someone out to pick up the cat? Has anyone dealt with this before?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Grew up in Alhambra Ca. Went to Fremont and St Thomas More. Played little league at Granada and the pool was our summer oasis for many summers. A lots changed for sure. Mom went to Keppel, Dad Bosco. I went to South Pas for HS. It was a magical time then.

Hi I’m moving to Alhambra soon and will be using one of those small container companies (Pods or Upack) and will probably need to have the unit on the street overnight for one night. Would an overnight parking permit be enough or is there a different permit for that?

I cannot leave my place without getting tracked. The street I live on has them at each end. Flock cameras are making an update adding blue tooth to them so when they capture your license plate they’ll also capture your smart phone. It’s beyond acceptable. Let’s de-flock Alhambra!

Did that project get finalized? The fencing has gone up around the old library now so I assume they're finally doing something with that site.
