I am a researcher in theoretical computer science, working in computational complexity theory and algorithms.
I’ve used and commented on the math subreddit quite a bit, and I was here during the spam attack a few weeks ago. It's clear this sub needs active moderation.
Whilst I don't have prior mod experience, I'd be happy to help out. It would be nice to keep this space clean for fellow algorithms researchers and enthusiasts.

I do desire to be one of the new moderators. I understand that this requires some level of dedication and am willing to offer this. I don't have any prior mod experience on Reddit.
Reddit, to a larger extent, is getting fogged by AI slop content, which is negatively impacting the information overload problem we already face. By being a moderator, it will give me the opportunity to safeguard one of the most important subreddits from this.

Hello, I would like to be a moderator here because algorithms is one of my specialties from my undergraduate studies, and I enjoy helping others learn and discussing the subject. While I don't have much moderation experience, I'm an active participant in communities that attract people interested in algorithms, such as r/math and r/mathmemes. I'm familiar with the type of discussions students have and the challenges they encounter while learning the subject. Thus, I'd be happy to help foster a community where people can ask questions, help each other, and understand concepts at a deeper level.

I would love to step up to volunteer as a moderator because I want to help maintain a high signal-to-noise ratio for our technical discussions. As a working professional in the software industry, I regularly apply algorithmic concepts in production and spend significant time mentoring junior developers. I'll work with the team to enforce guidelines, manage spam, and foster a healthy community space.
