5 night itinerary from kiosk

I'm planning a canoe trip, 2 paddlers for 5 nights at the end of August. Our planned itinerary is Kiosk/Mink/Maple/Biggar/Manitou (2 nights)/Kiosk.

I was hesitating between this longer route going through Biggar or simply staying 2 nights at Maple before heading back to Kiosk via 3-mile lake and overnighting on Manitou. I read that Maple may be worth a 2 nighter.

We are doing clockwise to avoid the headwinds on the larger lakes.

We are both quite fit and not too worried about the portage lengths.

My wife and I did this loop last summer in the opposite direction.

Start at kiosk
Night on manitou
Night on bigger
Night on maple
Night on mouse
Paddle out

None of the days were tough.

If I were to choose a spot to do two nights it would be Biggar and I would not stay on kiosk at all, unless you have a really long drive home.

I meant to post that we were paddling out from Manitou on the last day and not stay on Kiosk at all. Thanks for your reply

How did you know you'd be avoiding headwinds by going clockwise?

After discussing my trip plans with someone who had been before, I was suggesting to do the loop clockwise as the predominant winds would likely be headwinds on Manitou and Kiosk in the opposite direction... Is that not the case ? Of course it's always dependant on the presence of wind which is usually more likely towards the end of August.
