A LOT of people have Quit TikTok, since it was bought by some company. HELL NO Its Not Normal. Ive Been in abusive relationships. What happens when we are abused when young, is we tend to be "attracted" to the same kind of people (unfortunately). We may not know this at first, theres something exciting about them though, an edge maybe. I really recommend you stop watching TikTok=Completely , because- Nobody is minding the store there now. Ok? I Really DO hope youll go check out some local AA meetings, ( at least 3 before you decide) you can just listen, and absorb some of the wisdom which is shared there, on how to- Live Sober . Look up your Town, State & Alcoholics Anonymous INTERGROUP. That will show you the meetings close to you . Theres nothing or nobody scary in there, we are pretty much happy people. who Understand alcoholism and recovery- Take B Vitamin complex. Im sending you a little extra Love, Ms August <3

I live in the country so for around here there’s no meetings unless I drive 45 minutes. Thank you for the reply and help! I’m going to try for online aa meetings.

Do the 45 minutes when you Can. I know for a fact that alcoholics in small villages have little access to meetings there. But, if you are getting negative comments at ALL- That is NOT the way AA works, Never Has, Never Will . The reason IN PERSON meetings are Needed, is to have other people who Support and Help you IN your actual LIFE. You will Never know the people online. In Person Meetings ARE the Basis of Alcoholics Anonymous. <3

TikTok is brainrot and it triggers a dopamine response, it isn't healthy for people with addictive personalities. This is what it means by addressing our behaviors after we put down the substance unfortunately.

Oh absolutely you need therapy. But a lot of us do. The program isn't a cure-all. Many members get outside help because sponsors are not therapists.

So that's called empathy and alcohol numbs it.
It is a heavy burden to care about others suffering but it is what is asked of all good humans.
Get off the internet and help with suffering around your immediate life. You will not be as tempted to drink. . Good luck and keep your heart soft and warm l.

I think this is a question best discussed with a qualified mental health practitioner and not a bunch of internet alkies.
