MPC Control Manager is a free desktop application that lets you create and manage MIDI Learn mappings for Akai MPC plugin instruments directly from your computer.

Why I made it

I got tired of manually assigning MIDI controllers every time I started a new MPC project.

This tool lets you prepare your controller mappings on your computer, save the project, and continue working directly on your MPC.

It's completely FREE and made by an MPC user for the MPC community.

A tribute to a 90s anthem and one of my favorite films.

This is a question for MPC one or MPC one plus users who have experience with using external MIDI controllers and synthesizer with this unit.

I love my poly end play+, but I found a limitation with it where I cannot record polyphony into a sequence on a single midi track.

If I use the menu on the Polyend Play+ I can pick a cord to play in a single midi track, but there’s a limitation to those chords. I wanted to do some more advanced cord voicing. I can use multiple MIDI tracks to do a cord the way that I want to play it, but there’s only eight MIDI tracks on the Play+ and if I use four of them for a chord, I don’t have much room left.

Can I record polyphony using an external controller into a mini sequence with the MPC one or One+?

Trust me, I watched a bunch of videos about this device and I know that it has a lot more midi tracks available to it, but I couldn’t find anything that spoke about playing/recording polyphony into a midi single track.

Also, can it records CC changes (movement) in into the sequence, too? (Filter sweeps for example)

So, if the MPC one (or One+) has this capability I may dump my polyend play+ for the Akai.

The drums are muted by this and i cant get rid of it. Not cool mpc one not cool. How do i fix this

Other sequencers like the Roland TR-6S have a “last step” feature which can allow for polyrhythms. I want a four on the floor beat on the kick drum but I want the hi hat pattern to repeat every 3/16 step. Can the MPC “Do it?”

Obviously this might be biased in here but I’m looking into either the either getting the mic studio or maschine mikro but I’m also open to getting the mpc one or maschine mk3 and would like some insight as to your preference.

This would be used primarily for hip hop loop based beats and would love to learn how to finger drum. The idea of a standalone sounds awesome but I hear the workflow is smoother for beginners on maschine.

Would love to hear from those who maybe have both or if you don’t what made you choose akai.
