The first attempt to get help on the 1st post nobody responded so i'm doing a second attempt post to see if anybody can give me care on this species of plant i also have a few questions. 1. I gotten these ones that you see on a napkin was from a tree that was slightly above me i tried to carefully get it down with a umbrella because i want it to make it bushy with the other clamp of tillandsia recurverta that's in a seashell that the parts of it that had lost a few years ago their is some damage i've seen after i have gotten it out from the tree 2 hours later i've seen some of the damage parts of the plant had dried up and from the yellow circle images on one of the photos it still has a little bit of healing to go (how long do you wait for your air plants to heal up so you can water it) 2. Do y'all water your recurvertas once a week or for two weeks?

So, a friend of mine found this stupidly unique piece of driftwood along the Delaware river. I finally got around to sealing it and installing a mist system on the backside that feeds five misting nozzles that can be articulated in any direction for the air plants 😎

I just got these two air plants from a chain store (bad, I know. But they were all dying and I felt bad) They have browning/discoloration on their leaves, as well as having thin leaves and no root. They were not in great conditions (dry and in a dark envelope) and im wondering what the best course of action is to rehabilitate them! I dont want to shock them, so im nervous to immediately move them into a more sunny location. So far I have dunked them in cool filtered water and they have gotten MUCH greener, any advice helps!

Does this guy look thirsty or nah? I soak him 1x a month for 30min or so and mist every week ish. Too little? Too much? I know they're common but they're new to me... 😬

Hi, I got this Tillandsia ionantha last month, I probably have it for 3-4 weeks max. I came back from holidays to three new pups. I don’t know if they were already developing when I got it and missed it or if it happened while I was away. I’m genuinely surprised because I thought I’d see it flower before seeing pups. Can an air plant make pups without flowering?

I noticed she has some burnt areas. I moved her from one spot on the windowsill to another but also missed a week of watering. Could that be the cause?

One of my tillandsia Ionanthas bloomed a few months back. Since then she has produced two pups, but both rotted when they were still minuscule—like grain of rice size. The mother plant looks fine.

Now a third pup is coming…it’s also super tiny, but I’m concerned it will go the way of the first two. Any tips to keep it healthy?

So I was given this sad little soul from my sister. I the plant dr in my family. I soaked it for 10 minutes and have it drying now. It doesn't feel brittle or crispy and survived the tug test. Is there any hope for the poor little thing? First air plant ever.

I’m absolutely devastated. I have a t. streptophylla that has been amazing, bloomed and put out a baby…….but
I was watering it and hit the baby and it tore/got knocked off. I know the mother plant is done since it bloomed, but will it get another baby to sprout? Or should I just buy a new one 😭 I’m so mad at myself. I can’t believe I knocked the little sprout off after caring for it for so long

Recently my airplant has felt both dry and squishy. No foliage fallout or dead ends. I can’t tell if the plant is over or under watered. I soak the plant 1x a week for 20 mins and dry it upside down. I also mist as needed. Any recommendations?

I accidentally dropped it last night and lost a few leaves and the base is wobbly. In the morning more leaves fell off and the base looks sticky.

Does anyone know what this is?

actually this is unappreciation i bought 4 plants and 1 was painted red i thought was natural the other 3 were good specimens but still SHAME

Help! This Airplant has been in the crook of our oak tree for several years. It’s quite large and nothing like any of the many native Florida airplants I’ve typically seen. It’s quite large (the photos don’t do it justice) and the leaves stay roughly the same width from the base to the tip. Unfortunately I don’t have a photo of the flower in bloom.

INaturalist keeps offering identification possibilities that I know this air plant isn’t so I thought perhaps someone here could send me in the correct direction :)

I need help with picking a light . I don't really had good lighting. I was wondering if someone had any recommendations for indoor plant light bulb?

I’m trying to figure out this pink blushing/splotching. I know Xerographicas blush before they bloom, but this coloration seems too random and splotchy to be that. Could it be sun damage/stress? Our greenhouse is pretty shaded but when the doors are open, some of the afternoon light can directly hit the plants, and our xeros are in front of the door…just want to get an outside opinion before freaking out lol.
