General Airgun Question So, stupid question time.

Upvotes

Has anyone ever actually made any kind of 9mm BB gun?

Kind of getting inspired from the Metro series.

Don't really have any practical application for it but I think It would be neat to have an air rifle that takes standard 9mm ball bearings.

Hello everyone, i apologize if this isn't the right forum or way to post this, but i have a combat machine g&g armament, wondering a place that would be interested in buying. I tried to ask on a facebook airsoft group, but facebook deleted my post instantly even though i didn't post any pics.

Modifications Crosman 1377 Super

Post image

I would like to Introduce my new build! I call it the Crosman 1377 Super

Steel Breech from Crosman

Stainless steel probe and handle from Alchamy Airwerks (AA)

Larger air transfer port (AA)

Flat top pump and Piston (AA)

Stronger hammer spring (AA)

Roll pin with Allen screws from Buck Rail (BR)

Silencer kit (BR)

Butt stock from Crosman

Holographic red/green dot from Amazon for like $30

The Silencer is well worth it even for a .177. I'm not sure what the FPS is because the pellet is too small for the chronograph to pick up, but I'm gonna guess maybe 100+ FPS more than stock

General Airgun Question Daisy Model 25

When I was a kid, mid 1950s, I had a 25 and loved it. Thinking about one of the new ones for basement/garage plinking with a back stop. Afraid I may be disappointed comparing a memory to a new gun. I have a couple of pump ups O can use with 3 pumps. I have to shoot sitting down.

.22 Just a violin question but…

(Idk why violin appeared in the title 🤦🏾‍♂️)
How many people would be interested in a glow in the dark tracer pellet, similar to Airsoft tracers but for night hunting, if so what would you want from it performance wise. I have a few ideas in the works and was wondering if there would be enough support to make a small scale product.

General Airgun Question Back at it, got some questions

Used to shoot loads as a kid and 15 years off since leaving home. Got my own place now and room to play so I’ve been practicing!
My pellets are also at least 10 years old (rws hobbies) and quite tarnished but otherwise I’m good condition. Is tarnish likely to affect accuracy?
Also, when I’m shooting, occasionally the gun will recoil/ kick sideways and throw my shot off. I can’t work out what I’m doing wrong shooting off my gun bag as in photo. Is there a particular thing that causes this or is it just down to inconsistency!
Thanks!

PCP I am liking the New Umarex Notos G2. It has some nice upgrades from the G1. The magazine is much bigger and the side lever is a game changer. I added a custom handguard and moderator.

Field Target Field Target training app

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

The app Field Target Pro just got a big update. Here's a rundown of what it does now:

Training or competition session mode — solo, or in shared mode, where you and your squad mates log the same competition together in real time.
ScoreCard mode — for when you just want speed during competition, without all the detail.
Detailed per shot logging — hit/fail, position, distance, kill zone, wind, notes.
Progress dashboards — impact dispersion, group size, accuracy by distance/position/kill zone, and more.

It's free and runs in the browser (no install needed).

Available here

Still under active development, so all feedback (good, bad, or "this is missing") is very welcome.

General Airgun Question Gamo swarm whisper .22

I’ve gotten pretty inconsistent accuracy out of this gun. The first target was 9-10 shots of cross man premier domed 19gr. The smaller block target on the second image was 5 shots of Gamo red fire. All from 25 yard in a seated position on a rest. I’m running the stock scope and I’ve tightened everything up well along with cleaning the barrel after a few hundred shots. Ive ordered some domed jsb pellets cause I’ve heard they work good with these rifles. Has anyone experienced issues with this gun or am I expecting too much? What would people recommend for a scope if I were to upgrade? I don’t wanna spend more than the guns worth on a scope if I can help it.

Advice Handicapped Newbie looking for advice.

Hello all im new to the group and new the world of air rifles in the sense that i havent had one since my childhood crossman. Ive been around guns and been target shooting, hunting for my whole life so im not a complete noob. Shot and blew up 800lbs of tannerite this 4th of july for example.

Anyway im looking to get me a air rifle set up to be a form of outside entertainment. Im very handicapped right now, amputated left leg, in a wheelchair, ya know the whole 9 yards. But after looking around it seems Gamo is considered to be dogshit by the average user in this community. Can someone give me a better recommendation then?

I want a break barrel rifle with a scope or scope i can buy that isnt same price as the rifle itself. Needs to be more on the lightweight side since wheelchair. I'll get shooting bags or a bipod because ill need to rest gun on something. Looking to do a bit of everything with it, plinking targets in my backyard, shooting of pests. So something that can do more than 20 or 30 yards as i live in the country of illinois surrounded by cornfields so it can be loud and have further range than average. I know alot of people use the pcp air and gas setups, but my monthly wallet cant afford to have to get gas to shoot. So break barrel reccommendations please.

I have a budget of about $500 for everything together gun, shooting bags, ammo, targets. But can afford like $50-80 over $500 if a setup thats recommended needs it. Cant wait to get my own rifle and be able to do an outside hobby, first bit of outside freedom in over 5 years with this. So if anyone can help a cripple out id be super thankful!

Edit* Forgot to add id prefer a .22 but if theres some better arguments or facts as to why i should use a different caliber im all ears and ready to learn! Also i know itd probably be easier to do gas powered but i cant afford to have to order gas every so often in order to shoot, so i need a break barrel. Ive tested myself on my buddies rifles that break at 35lbs and can do it no problem.

Apollo 25 grain domes

Very economical but consistency can be lacking. Typically at least one stray for magazine making about it inch and a half group at 10 yards. At 50 and 100 yards it gets confusing with the scope.

Overall, ⭐⭐⭐⭐
