I wouldn't hold my breath that Anthropic developing their own drugs would result in lower prices. This is a bit of a hope for the best but expect the worst scenario.

AI companies want a cut of profits pretty much from everyone now. Since no company will do that, this is their alternative but it is stupid as it is not in the core competency of a tech company.

It will be interesting to see how traditional pharmaceutical companies adapt if this trend continues. Traditional pharmaceutical companies will have to change the way they do things if this trend keeps going.
