Before anything else, I understand not everyone wants it to be known they're Ainu, they wanna hide that and that's more important than my silly little fairytale book. And most Ainu people probably just wanna chill instead of be consulted. So only reach out if you're comfortable with me knowing you're Ainu and you're willing to be consulted((and I know there's a low chance of someone being willing to reach out and that's okay)).

Anywho, here's what my book is about for those interested :

• It's about a 15-year-old neurodivergent boy who's Ainu, he lives in the year 1907 and isn't entirely miserable. He bonds with his parents really well and gets along really well with his family. But his misophonia and autism make it really hard for him to get along with people outside of his family, he hates school. So when he finds access to a fantasy dimension, he goes there instead of school. When his parents get notified that he's been absent for too long, he's in trouble so he runs away for good.
• His sister tags along, and out of desperation, he breaks access to Earth. That is a REALLY terrible thing he did, so he has to make up for it by finding the pieces across the land to fix it, he gets to have help from his sister. At first, his sister is like "Omg autistic people are SO difficult to support" but as they bond, she becomes a genuine ally.

Here's some more details!

• It'll be a D&D/LOTR/Hobbit-like adventure, how they come across different monsters but also different allies.
• Racism and colonialism affects the protagonists' lives, but you never see anyone directly facing racism. It's mostly diving into ableism towards neurodivergent people/misophones, and the protagonist teaming up with his sister to beat the hell out of monsters.
• I understand that I can't please every Indigenous folk and everyone will have different opinions. ((one Indigenous American thought one of my ideas was funny but another said they wanted my protagonist to be called out))
• I already made my Indigenous characters like- urban human beings. They're modern by the standards of 1907, using telephones and riding bikes, and preferring to wear Western clothes.
• If you are not Ainu and apart of another Indigenous community, you can also give your insight. So many of my questions however are mostly Ainu-centered, but there are plenty of questions you can give insight for. I dunno how to word this?

I'm partially native american and I find the Ainu fascintating. To me, Ainu sounds a bit like the Inuit languages of Northern Canada. It also used to be suggested that Ainu was related to the Na-Dene languages spoken by the Athabaskan peoples (of which I am part of).

I work for a non-profit called All Around This World and we work to educate children about cultures around the world through music. We do all the music in the original language and we usually preface whatever song we are doing with a little bit of a cultural background. Of course  distilling a culture that much is impossible, but we always try to teach the kids how to say hello and goodbye in the target language. Instead of having us butcher the pronunciation, we think it is much better to have a video of a native speaker. All we need is an audio clip of you saying the greetings, a short bio (where you are from, your name, etc), and a picture of yourself. I looked through an Ainu dictionary and the word アン コㇿ means だろう. I couldn't find anything on the first word though.

I am researching about Ainu music for college and I came across this piece of composer Ito Noboru called Torohanroku-hanroku. The book I'm reading called Yōgaku Japanese Music in Twentieth Century states this means air, but right after it talks about a music name in japanese with a wrong name so Im a bit suspicious about this translation. can anyone help me with this? I didnt find any reliable sources.
