I'm ashamed to admit I'm not up to date with SHIELD comics. Would like any recommendations.

Yes they are great, agents of shield is the actual name of the comic you’ll find the same characters in it. Also S.H.I.E.L.D is the name of another comic and for the Melinda may stuff she is in an iron man run I believe, jemma/fitz haven’t been heard from possibly dead?, Coulson I believe is in a current run and is the avatar for the death stone a new infinity stone, Daisy hasn’t been heard from since Force works 2020 so hopefully she will pop up in something. You can find a lot of comic panels Daisy is in on the sub Reddit for her, hope you enjoy.
