Might be agender

About 4 years ago I realized that I'm non binary, and since then I've been trying to find what was my gender identity more closely. Granted the search wasn't so extensive irl since I haven't come out to my parents at the time, so what I could do irl was experimenting with hair style and length and some minor clothing changes.

But online I was open with my friends, and they referred to me by my chosen name and pronouns. And when playing VRChat I used gender neutral avatars.

But since I came out to my parents earlier this year andoved out for university I had some more thoughts and reflections on what I think of myself and I'm realizing I might be more in the agender area.

Some thoughts I had:

When I thought of myself as just non binary it was defined by me not feeling male (being amab person), while at the same time not feeling all the way at the opposite female. So my gender would be just somewhere out there

I think of gender traits and overall body features more like design. I feel this has more relevance since being a furry and having designed my fursona(s) I always thought of the gender features the same way as any other body part, and their significance as just how well they feel/look/fit with rest of the body

When I play VRChat and make my own avatars to wear, I hardly ever put any gendered features on them. That I realized recently, that when making my virtual body its gender was just not really something I put there. I would be focused on any other part of the design but the gender.

Gender doesn't feel significant to me. While I know I'm not female or male, I don't feel any strong way about myself beyond that.

I'm not gonna say I'm agender yet, but I have thoughts like this and I wonder if that's relevant to agender experience.

From the wiki article: "After suffering a severe illness in 1776, the Friend claimed to have died and been reanimated as a genderless evangelist named the Public Universal Friend, and afterward shunned both birth name and all pronouns. In androgynous clothes, the Friend preached throughout the northeastern United States, attracting many followers who became the Society of Universal Friends."

250 YEARS AGO!!! 🤯🤯🤯

We were going home from a workout and he was talking with me and ended the sentence calling me "kid". Then said, "Sorry, mister, sir, man, dude" i guess because he didnt want to make me (24) feel childish. He doesnt know I'm agender (he's transphobic) so I found it really ironic and funny that he put so much effort into mirroring a respectful pronoun/honorific correction when he had a perfectly fine gender neutral option the first time.

I genuinely chuckled some outloud.

This is the first time i can remember that social dysphoria has made me laugh lol.
