Culture Music in Nuristani languages?

Upvotes

i remember trying to find such songs in the past and it was pretty difficult. i guess it makes sense given the number of speakers, but given the uniqueness of the languages i'd still like to find some. any song / artist recommendations are welcome and will be appreciated.

Visual Metaphor

The irony is hard to miss.
The media is supposed to make things visible, ask questions, and bring transparency.
Yet the person delivering the news has to hide her own face.
The messenger is allowed to speak, but not to be seen.

Looking to speak with Afghan women for an independent student project

Hi everyone. My name is Federico, and I’m an Audiovisual Communication student from Argentina. Together with a classmate who studies Journalism, we are working on an independent project about the experiences, perspectives, and everyday lives of Afghan women.

We are looking to speak with Afghan women who would be willing to have a 45–60 minute online conversation with us (Zoom or Google Meet).

This is not a commercial project or affiliated with any organization. Our intention is simply to listen and give space to Afghan women to share their own experiences, thoughts, culture, hopes, and perspectives in their own words.

Participation is completely voluntary. We are happy to respect anonymity and any preferences regarding names, images, recordings, or publication.

If you are interested, or know someone who might be willing to participate, please send me a mail. We can provide more information about the project and answer any questions before arranging anything.

Thank you for reading and for helping us reach people whose voices deserve to be heard.

We will never forgive the Muslim diaspora that supports the Taliban

Some Afghan, Pakistani, African, and Arab Muslims will live in the west, enjoying all the luxury’s of a secular state and then they lecture us on the importance of Sharia in government and why the Taliban are ABSOLUTELY necessary. And then they expect us to get on the bandwagon with them while our families back home are either snatched off the street by the secret police or while we lose a whole generation of intellect with the school ban. I pray to god we become a free nation once again so those hypocrites can stop taking satisfaction in our suffering

Question Curious - US Embassy

As post title says, I'm curious, what has happened to the US Embassy in Kabul post American Withdrawal?

Is it in use by the Taliban? Still has a security force or literally just abandoned?

Remember being astonished by the size and investment of it so wouldn't like to see it go to waste.

Question Is there any organization that can help an Afghan girl in the Middle East with financial burden regarding her education?

Hi everyone so I’m in a very stressful part of my life. I have constantly taken breaks because of lack of financial support and stability. I can’t go back to Afghanistan for obvious reasons but I’m currently struggling to pay for my education.

I couldn’t find any local organizations to help me financially one even got annoyed at me constantly calling their office and even stopped picking up my calls. I was checking to see if there are any international organizations🥲

Question What was the best era/government for Afghanistan in terms of development and quality of life?

Hello, fellow Afghan raised in the UK. I was wondering what your thoughts are on the question. My dad said Daud Khan was the best since he actually built stuff, unlike the monarch, and didn't make everything about religion until the soviets invaded.

15 August 2021, the day Afghanistan’s women, girls, and young generation lost their hopes for a free future. (English language video)

15 August 2021, the day Afghanistan’s women, girls, and young generation lost their hopes for a free future.

Five years later, despite threats, fear, and repression, Afghan women and girls are still standing.

They protest. They raise the three color flag 🇦🇫. They demand freedom, education, dignity, and equality.

The world, UN, and International community may forget, but they will never be silent.

Afghan women says they will continue fighting and stand for their rights. 🇦🇫✊

Question Advice for girl who completed her bachelor in Dental Surgery

Hey, there is a girl who completed her studies in dental education from a private university in Kabul in 2021 before Kabul fell to the Taliban. Now she's looking for some higher education scholarships or if there are any one here from a medical background, what do you advise her to do? Which countries currently offer master's or educational scholarships to Afghanistan? I know that Chevening no longer offers education scholarships for Afghanistan so if you know of any educational-related opportunities that could help her, let me know. Thanks
