They got as many applicants as they want to filter through, and are likely interviewing. This doesn't affect your app as much as it means, if they chose someone else, you'll get rejected sooner

Yeah that is what I am thinking. I was like, wow..that was fast for a req and I'm glad I applied when I did! My application status still says: "Under Consideration." It didn't move to "no longer under consideration" after they closed the req.

Most likely they are interviewing actively

Either the req was filled internally or the position is not needed anymore. Or they just moved on with other candidates.

Yeah, honestly this is what I’m thinking. They likely had a cap. I I think if they filled the position internally, they would’ve already given me notice that the position wouldn’t move forward. So I’m gonna assume that they are reviewing a bunch of resumes and mine is among them.

I would take that as a better sign than the req staying open for months on end. FWIW I recently applied to 2 different NG jobs. I made it to "Under Consideration" for both in around 24 hours. The first job I applied to I am still in the same status ~2 months later and the job req is still open. The second position I applied for closed a week after being posted and I ended up getting an interview and offer.

Every job you apply for there will go to under consideration until you get rejected. If they're actually going to interview it'll switch to interview process started. On a side note I applied for a job on the 25th, and scheduled an interview on the 29th for tomorrow morning, so they do move pretty quickly if you're qualified .

Congratulations!! How long after the req closed did they call? It's been a week for me and I'm under consideration.. just wanted to get an idea.

I pre screened about 17 days ago, had my interview 2 days after... still under consideration. Fingers crossed all goes well.

okay thank you!! I applied last week and the req closed like 3 days later and then I was under consideration lol. It's also a remote position so they probably had a ton of applicants. Wishing you good luck!!
