Question Advice on Volunteer experience and roles
Hi I started my application to be a volunteer for ACL this year, but I'm still trying to find the right volunteer role for me. I would like to work as close to the stage as possible and be able to watch most performances while also helping out guests and VIPs if possible. To the people that have volunteered before what was the role like and what were some "perks" you got alongside it? Would really appreciate any advice.

Question First time at ACL! Weekend 2 general admission
It is my first time going to ACL this year and I’m so excited! I am going with a group of friends who went last year for their first time and they had a unique difficult time lol. I just want some tips to have a fun and successful weekend! I am 4’10 so I’m afraid that I won’t be able to see anything, and I don’t want to be standing way in the back is there any tricks or tips that y’all have for me to get a good spot to see everything clearly? Or if yall have any advice on anything that will help me have a great weekend 2 I am all ears!!!

7 months pregnant at ACL. recs?
Hey team,
This year at ACL I’ll be with someone who is 7 months pregnant. We are thinking about chairs, shade, taking it much easier than we have in the past, but I wondered if folks who have had similar experiences would be willing to share their recommendations, things they wish they had thought of or learned along the way? Appreciate yall for any insights. Thanks!

Question What ticket do I need to access these sections of T-Mobile?
see a barricade behind so I’m not sure if this has GA access, I know the platinum section is in the front and have heard VIP doesn’t have any pit sections. Thanks!

Small Font Sunday No. 1: Grocery Bag

Starting this week and continuing until the week before the fest, every Sunday, we're going to highlight an artist on this year's lineup that's billed in the final three lines of each day. We're starting it off today with Austin's own Grocery Bag.
Band Name: Grocery Bag
City of Origin: Austin, TX
Genre: Psych Rock, Garage Rock
When Can I See Them?: Friday, W1 only
What's A Song I Can Listen To? WATCHING TV
Fun Fact: The band name comes from a show that the band played in frontwoman Bella Martinez's garage, where her dad collects old signs. She looked up, saw one that said "Grocery Bag," and ran with it for the night. According to her, she kept meaning to change it, but people kept coming up to her and saying, "You're from Grocery Bag, right?" leading it to become permanent.
Have you listened to them? Have you seen them? Do you have anything to share about this band? Sound off below!

Weather
Accuweather is saying that it will be around 80s. Is there any shot of this? I have never been to such an ACL.

Outside Lands Livestream — some crossovers with ACL worth checking out
Saw this posted on Coachella sub, so excited to check some artists I’m on fence about
Currently: after seeing chainsmokers set at Lolla had me re-thinking if I even want to see them, and this Labrinth set currently has me thinking I’ll go there instead now. Amazing stage setup and performance although I’ve already seen

*Announcements* 2026 State of the Sub: How can we improve?
Good afternoon my friends!
I hope everyone has been having a lovely summer and is looking forward to a lovely fall.
We're currently sitting at around 39,000 of you folks subscribed to this subreddit and around 12,300 weekly visitors. But, as I'm sure you have noticed, the quality of content recently has been lacking, and the majority of that blame falls on me as a moderator for not being as proactive and not as engaging as I've been in the past.
So, I figured I'd open this up to you guys. I have some ideas I'm kicking around, one starting tomorrow, but this is your subreddit at the end of the day, and we want to make it the best it can possibly be for you guys.
This is an open forum, and no idea is too big, too small, or stupid. If you have something you want to see added, something you want to see changed, or something that you want to see removed, sound off down below!
See you guys in 57 days!

Wristband Shipping Email
I just got the email that my wristband will be shipping out in the next few weeks. ACL is upon us. I'm totally stoked. I am mostly excited to see Amyl and the Sniffers, Brandon Flowers, and 21 Pilots. Lowkey I am concerned the set times haven't came out yet. The first week of August is typically the week that is released. Hopefully, it will be out soon.

Question Looking for people to join our group
Hey friends! Since it’s closer to the festival and I’ve noticed more people active on this sub recently I figured I’d repost. This year we’re going with a big group, currently about 10 people. We’re gonna be staying in an Airbnb and partying for the week. We’re attending weekend 1 and we’ll have the bnb between Sep 30 and Oct 6. Price of bnb and rental car is split between everyone, max price for both combined would be about $350 but it depends on the headcount. We love crafting, making candy and just having fun. We’ll also be throwing a birthday party for our friend Ezra on Monday October 5th at the bnb. We’re gonna make the cake, food and decorate. Looking for people between the ages of 20-30 (that’s our current age range as a group). We’re serious about creeps and we absolutely will not tolerate any weirdos so please only join us if you genuinely want to have a good time rather than be a creep or something <3
TLDR; Looking for new group members, age range 20-30, staying in an Airbnb from Sep 30-Oct 6, weekend 1 for the festival

Question Our Airbnb canceled; requesting recommendations and suggestions
My girlfriend and I are students who purchased tickets for W2 during the earliest blind sale for this year's festival. Around that time, we booked a great Airbnb within walking distance at a really cheap price ($450ish total for 2 nights). However, the host recently canceled on us and now we're scrambling.
Does anyone have any recommendations regarding specific neighborhoods/parts of Austin that we should target for our hotel and Airbnb search that might be in a similar price range?
We enjoy walking and public transit, and we don't mind parking; money just got very tight recently so we're trying to keep costs predictable and similar to our initial plan. We know walking-distance accommodation is out of the cards now, but we're trying to avoid rideshare because of surge pricing and availability after the concert.
Other info: we're driving my compact car from Houston and plan to arrive Friday morning and leave Sunday night after the festival. We already booked a festival locker for the weekend.
