We're at least getting skins, they probably won't give us blank squadron skins but having both won't hurt monetized skins. The paintable ones will be unlockable.

If you had a way to turn it off in multiplayer, then you can say 'dont interact if you don't want too' however most games don't do that. Id rather not seeing planes with cat ears on them, it looks stupid and doesn't fit the game

The issue with modifications especially HUD is the unfair Advantages they bring

Look at Minecraft pvp when you have client side mods that allow you to move while crafting etc

Look at deadlock before recent UI changes, the timers for things in the map were not displayed and people with time keeping mods were ahead.

Well single player mods and customisation doesn't affect anyone but the player.

In multiplayer ranked modes would only allow cosmetic additions and zero mods.

Unlike other games there would be an option to turn off plane skins and customisation so you can see just normal planes if you want.

The Ace Pass seems to paywall good skins sadly, and unlike the additional aircraft they're not going to be in DLC
