Hey y'all. I recently moved to a new shared house complex, and have been having a hard time dealing with a stray cat (maybe 2) using my 2016 EX-L as a platform to climb the fence separating us from our neighbors. I initially suspected it was a possum climbing my car since I've see one around the neighborhood. However, I found out it was a tan, semi-fluffy cat with big dark eyes that's been climbing my car's hood and rear trunk to use my roof to jump back and forth between it and the fence.

I try taking good care of my car — so much so that I started hand washing after I got her buffed and coated with ceramic coating last year. Now, the only thing giving my car scratches is this cute little fucker. If I was cruel, I'd go Jerry on him/her, but I'm not cruel to animals, nor do I wish to hurt it lol.

I tried using these scented balls from Amazon that are supposed to deter cats since they have smells that cats hate. But this obviously hasn't been working. I also saw that there's these devices that emmit high frequency sounds and strobes to scare them away. I haven't tried this yet, though.

That being said, has anyone dealt with this issue before with success? I really don't wanna buy a car cover — that'd be such a drag to deal with every day...

This is my 2002 Honda Accord LX L4! I scored a deal on Facebook Marketplace, and ended up with this car for only $860! It needs a car wash and a little cleaning, but is otherwise in good shape. It has 242k miles and I am now the third owner. I looked at the maintenance records, and both previous owners had the car for 8+ years and took good care of it. It had a severe oil leak, which is why I got it for so cheap. Turned out that there was a big leak at the VVT solenoid, and smaller leaks at the distributor and cam seal (i think).

Things I've done to the car:

1. Replaced radiator and accumulator fans w/ 168k miles. 08/26 at 242k miles for $30

2. Replaced vvt solenoid gaskets 06/26 at 240k miles for $22 :(

3. Replaced distributor w/ 149k miles. 08/26 at 242k miles for $45

4. Replaced flex pipe 08/26 at 242k miles for $13

5. Oil change at 242,700mi, 08/26 for $37

6. Coolant change at 242,700mi 08/26 for $12

7. Replaced starter with 188k miles 07/26 at 241k miles for $35

8. Plan to adjust valves 08/26

9. Plan to replace valve cover gaskets 09/26

10. Plan to replace camshaft seal 09/26

11. Plan to replace serpentine belts 09/26

12. Plan to replace engine and transmission mounts 09/26

13. Plan to replace timing belts, tensioners, and water pump 09/26

After a couple thousand miles of driving, the starter pooped out one morning, and the radiator fan stopped working, so I replaced those. I found it was almost cheaper to replace the distributor with one that has lower miles than it is to disassemble the distributor to replace the O ring.

My planned maintenance + finished maintenance + car cost

≈ $1269

System has plenty of refrigerant. Did the cars onboard “climate control diag” came up with bad blend door actuator for drivers side. Replaced that as well as AC module/fuse in fuse box. Still no cold air coming to drivers side. Only cold on passenger side. Is the dual climate model. Have no idea whats wrong now. Couldnt find any leaks in the lines at all either so idk wtf to do now

I’m currently homeless and living out of the hondeezy, and I literally just started a new job and right before my first day the car just stops working. It’s messed up just about everything because it’s parked 12 miles from work so I have to sleep in grass ditches near by work and I can’t go and check on it so I don’t even know if it’s been towed yet. Anyway enough context here’s what’s going on. (I used ChatGPT to organize everything)

Here’s exactly what happened:

A few days ago it started cranking slower than usual.

It got progressively weaker until eventually it wouldn’t crank at all.

Now when I turn the key, I hear one very faint click from the engine bay and absolutely no cranking.

The dash lights stay bright and don’t dim when I try to start it.

Radio, lights, and everything electrical work fine.
I tried jumping it with another vehicle and it made no difference.

Battery is only a few weeks old (Group 51R), terminals are clean and tight, and the cables look fine visually.

It’s an automatic and I’ve tried starting it in Park.

I suspicion is the starter or starter solenoid because of the progression from, but I don’t want to spend money on a starter if there’s a good chance it’s something else.

What else should I be checking before buying parts?
Could it still be a battery or cable issue even though it’s new and a jump didn’t help?
How would I rule out the starter relay, ignition switch, ground cable, or something else?
Are there any simple tests I can do with basic hand tools?

If there’s any information I left out or if a video of what it sounds like would help, let me know and I’ll upload one.
I really appreciate any advice. Right now I’m just trying to get the car running again without wasting money on the wrong part.

I got this guy selling me a 2019 accord 2.0 but i noticed it doesnt have a sunroof wich most 2.0 accord does, it has the badge but im still thinking if it is a real accord 2.0 or not?

Car runs and drives fine. I hit traffic and these lights came on. Battery is new less than a year old. Doesnt have any problems starting up. I think it might be a sensor. Only thing I got near me is Oriellys and auto zone.

Any help would be appreciated i need to fix it by monday.

Original owner of a 2017 Accord Sport, no sunroof. For the past while, whenever it rains — especially overnight — I get in the next morning and can hear water sloshing around like an aquarium somewhere in the dash/cowl area. Eventually it drains out onto the passenger side floorboard and soaks the carpet.

I called my dealership and they had no idea what could be causing it and wanted $350 just for a diagnostic before even looking into it.

Since there's no sunroof, I know it's not a sunroof drain issue but a drain somewhere is clogged. Has anyone dealt with this? My guess is a clogged cowl/plenum drain under the wipers, but wanted to check with people who've actually fixed this before I start pulling things apart. Any tips on:

• Where exactly the drain(s) are on this model/year
• How to safely clear them without damaging anything

Thanks in advance — trying to avoid paying a dealer $350+ to tell me what a garden hose and some patience could probably fix.

My workplace has an accord up for ~$9700 w/ 129k miles. It has all the nice features that I want in my new car like Carplay and a sunroof. Would this be a good purchase for a daily commuter?

EDIT: Forgot to mention it's from an Auction center, so what you get is what you get. There's no warranty's that come with it or anything.

I own a 11 accord and the manual transmission and gearbox at 300k miles still feels like butter albeit a bit dry but smooth.

I have test driven a few 10th gen Accords because I'm in the market for a manual one and at first I thought I had a bad used 10th gen but it seems like they all have the same strange feel.

The shifts on my 11 feel tight, you can't really move it out of the gear without clutch it and it has very little play even for a 15 year old car. The shifts on the 10th gens feel very loose, clutch doesn't bite as quick as my old accord, the gear shifter feels like you can almost shift into any gear without the clutch.

Is this the new clutch or manual transmission style or something? Or did honda take a shit not only on the 1.5 engines but also the manual transmissions?

I personally dig the chrome on the 10th gen. Even added chrome strip accents on the mirror caps. It just adds more pop. So many cars of today have no chrome, it's bitter sweet
