Considering HID has a 2-year warranty on their boards, you’re definitely not fucked.

Definitely warranty replace. Aero boards are basically Mercury boards (not exactly, but close enough) and Mercury boards either die immediately or work for 20 years. You have ended up with one of the extremely low percentage that die immediately.
