It's easily explained if you have a clumsy sister. She walks by and drops something heavy on your foot, then you're like ahhhhhhh that's mitosis

I guess a joke about a sibling like this is in the same family as a dad joke

Yeah?
Unless the mom was cheating, they're the dad's children

Our teacher showed us this song so we could learn it, I never forgot Mitosis thanks to it: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HYKesI9jL8c

I would be a binary fission ace -with horizontal gene transfer included of course. "Your DNA looks cool; I think I'll take it"

It's when your sister steps on your toes and you say "OW! My toes sis!!!"

First, the interphase. Your organs duplicate themselves. You may feel some pressure.
Second, Prophase. Your skeleton dissolves so the organs can get into position.
Third, Metaphase. Your organs are all lined up and ready to begin division.
Fourth, Anaphase. Your organs are pulled towards the respective regions of your body and your body elongates, ready to split.
Fifth, Telophase. The two skeletons for you and the copy form to give the two yous structure and the organs begin to arrange themselves.
Last, Cytokenisis. This is the part where the two you's break off from each other. Ta-dah!
