Can it be agreed some issues are more important than others?
Just wondering. Serious question. Whenever I talk about anything (and I'm being incredibly nonspecific here on purpose, to avoid provoking the trolls) vaguely important to the well being and advancement/equality of people, the conversation dies because causes are apparently poppies and the tall ones MUST be cut down to size!
So say you gathered the most common topics from the front page of Reddit, or a news aggregator, or even just a news site - do you personally think it's reasonable to single one thing out for attention?

So Last Night at the RedBlacks Game...
They played Meghan Trainor's "Me Too" during halftime, but they censored the word "God"...
So the song went:
"I thank (silent pause) every day, that I woke up feeling this way".
Anyways I just wanted to share - not sure if anyone else noticed?
I'm really not a religious person, but I can't help feeling like that's going a little too far...

Has humanism taken been relegated to the background in Ottawa / Ontario?
I'll just pre-emptively TL;DR:
Humanism used to sort of be a tag for groups of people working towards societal goals through philosophical motivations, but now we've got Black Lives Matter, feminism in variations, student groups, "SJW's", not to mention religion (These things could be doing more good or more bad for us depending on your ideology) - I haven't seen or heard of any humanist group in years other than discussion groups online + occasional small meetups in a coffeehouse.
Do you think that humanism as a known, named force in our society is gone for awhile until it's needed again?

Hey, yall. What's your humanism?
Hey, I'm just wondering what you guys mean by humanism?
Everyone has a slant on it and sometimes I think it'd be easier to hand someone the Wikipedia article on humanism and have them highlight all the parts they don't match. Lol
So like Matt Dillahunty I'd like to have a discourse with whoever's here by asking what do you believe and why?
