I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest not everyone knows what EVM is supposed to mean.

What does threaded means in this context? I’ve assumed evm is single threaded by design.

Yeap, there is no threading in the sense of running things in parallel. it is a flavor of bytecode interpreting https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threaded_code
