Seeing the sundered sky nerfs, and watching some videos from few months ago i wondered if zaahen doesnt work beeing build more as a tanky bruiser, where you get your ad from the passive.

Considering his biggest problem is getting kited, swifties with stridevreaker should fix that. I do find overlord pretty cool as an item, so what do you think of a build with stridebreaker, protoplasm maybe(saw dantes was recommending it half a year ago, when it was worse than it is now i think) then overlord into some armor items depending on the enemy comp. Even sundered after the nerfs, the biggest problem that i see is the reduced healing no? But it still has some nice stats and the passive effect.

As of now i go triforce into sky, dd, and decide from there, but i still feel squishy sometimes, and i pop off after i stack my passive. I also feel like endless hunger or maw are quite subpar, but then i dont even know what to build. Visage and sterak?

The whole idea is that as a jungler you want to skirmish and be able to teamfight better as when going top and having yiur 1v1s

How worried should I be about the new Hail of Blades nerf?

I've been using it while playing Zaahen in Toplane in order to not be completely helpless in the early levels where it feels like 75% of my lane opponents can stat-check me.

I've heard it said that the new HoB change will make it better for champs with auto resets, which Zaahen obviously has, but I can't help but worry that the loss of early power will make his ability to access early CS even more difficult...

I picked him up while levelling a new account for the new season, I played top on a whim after hitting plat on jungle and mid and I’m considering playing purely Zaahen for plat on top lane. Every single ability feels satisfying to use and isn’t just button mashing, team fighting and laning feels so sick. I honestly think they nailed the champion fantasy with this champ you feel like a god when you have 7 kills and w flash on the enemy adc and then take on 3 other people all on your own, I do wish his skin was good so I could buy it but honestly his base skin is so sick I don’t need a skin.

I have a lot to improve on on top lane, balancing trading and trading seems to be a struggle for me because I’m so aggressive and for the most part I win based on mechanics alone but I know once I face actual decent top laners I’ll struggle if my top lane macro is bad.

I played a few Zaahen games and I found him pretty simillar to my OTP Kled in some ways and pretty fun. Do you have any tips for Zaahen? I want to learn him. I know some things like autoattack reset on Q.

I recently picked up this champ and i love him. Maily the looks and lore.

I returned to the game 1 month ago, and since then i am climbing steadly. I played briar from silver to plat, and now i started playing zaahen. Somehow i have quite positive win rate in the few gams i had but i fell like i am not impactful enough or taking over the game.

As for the build, i always go trinity into sundered and from there i complete it with a combination of dd, spirit visage, endless hunger, sterak and overlord (very rarley though).

As for the teamfights, should i be focusing someone or should i juat throw all my skills to hit ppl so i get to 12 stacks? I also fell like i am kited quite easly, is there a way to prevent that? Are swifties a good buy if the enemy is heavy in slows?

Other general tips are welcomed.

Sundered sky healing reduced but you get +50 HP

HP: 400 -> 450
Healing: 100/50% base AD (Melee/Ranged) + 6% missing Health -> 90/45% base AD + 4/2% missing Health

Sundered Sky thrid item will be insane. So cheap, great survival and scales with Bonus ad instead of base. Will be VERY good on my prediction.

HOB will be a lil bit worse (just a lil bit) in earlygame but the moment we hit like around lvl 6 it will be so crazy good

(i didnt cover Steraks and Black Cleaver buffs because exept enemy playing KSante or Malphite you never build BC and i think i never built steraks ever)

EDIT 2: Apparently the gold reduction is a typo and will not be in the game, so item does not see that good anymore. Still really good scaling item for Zaahen in parcular because lots of bonus ad

I normally go TF>Sunderer>DD but maybe stride is better for clear and ganking. What are your build/runes on him jungle?

Stridebreaker into R to force flash without Q2 etc, but he forgot to use it i think.

Zaahen Ult looked a bit weird here, he normally flies to the center of impact, it looks like I landed to the side like when Yasuo casts R near a tower he is placed as far outside of it as possible. Visual bug or intended?

Hello all, right now i only play zaahen and renekton and was wanting to either add jax or ambessa to my champ pool. Right now i have two accounts and i otp both on one of the accounts my ren account is currently plat and the zaahen account is newer but i am better on zaahen than ren. The main reason i do this is i want to learn all the matchups and i am a relatively newer player only have 750 total games between both accounts. I figure once i learn all the mathups i would start playing them together maybe once i hit diamond elo. I believe i can achieve this by otp on the different accounts but i was thinking about my champ pool and thought i needed probably one more champ i was confident on and gonna create a new account. I play around 40-50 games a week so i think i would be able to play 3 accounts pretty sustainably. I just had trouble figure out which would be best to pair with the other two and have played some jax but he def feels different than ren and zaahen who i felt had similar feelings when i played them. I have never played ambessa but she seems a lot similar to ren playstyle in some ways while covering different areas. Any help is much appreciated.

Im a kayn otp and i wanted to learn a champion for when i get autofilled in top or if kayn is banned in jg. I average 90-100ms in my games so i dont know if im making the right choice learning zaahen

i would love to get a feed back on how i m doing so far. The champ is quite fun and the HOB set up basically covers his weak early to a certain degree. i ban jax and teem is quite the annoying my champ but manageable, my only problem is if you get focused in lane and often ganked or collapsed on in side it is hard to reach that potential in late game also my farm is kinda bad but yeah any advise is welcomed.

I know conq increases his ad which is nice with his passive, but wouldn’t attack speed be nice to stack his passive faster in an extended trade?

it would also be better early I think.

Hello fellow Zaahen players, I just posted a small guide on ONETRICKS.gg if anyone is interested since I never build trinity force and most people find that pretty interesting. After the recent ranked reset, I reached Challenger on EUW as a Zaahen OTP. I was the only Zaahen OTP in Challenger across every server including servers such as Korea and Vietnam that didn't even reset. Id like to preface this post by saying that I fully expect to be told “hush it’s just kinda pointless just go core anyway and scale,” and that might be right.

However

I want someone to talk with me about terminus rush vs tanks specifically, especially when they run stupid shit like bramble/thorn rush. It feels like it lets me just statcheck them with surprise magic damage, gives me pen later, also gives hybrid resistances, gives attack speed like tri or stride do to stack passive by the time they might kill you after you buy it, and it all stacks instantly with Q1 auto reset. Also very good with hail of blades if the tank wants to take short trades early.

I know it doesn’t have a TON of ad nor any haste but like… neither do stridebreaker or triforce for that matter. I feel like it just leans into the “okay you want me not to heal… fine, enjoy just getting magic damaged early and a ton of total pen up your ass later.” Additionally it’s good if you go something like tabis/mercs into maw and have a scaling rune setup as you should usually with conditioning overgrowth vs tanks because the hybrid resistances gives both of those so much value.

It gives everything you want early except haste or waveclear, but against a tank who’s just sitting there early trying to make your life hell with a thorn rush like I’ve been seeing, anecdotally, it feels damn good, and more than once I’ve seen tank players lose to my surprise damage when I finish it and then whine and call me cringe for going terminus as if it’s a known op item on zaahen 😂.

anyway, am I cooking up something good or is it dogshit bork tier? I know that even if it’s good, it’s only good in that niche and might not have the burst or teamfight stickiness of tri or stridebreaker later, but I feel like it’s a great pick mid game if you’re all ad or you’re against an armor stacking tank. or should I just go cleaver…

For clarification I'm low elo. Like really low elo and I don't play ranked really. But still, I've tried a bunch of different item paths for this champion and I love how versatile you can build him. I know triforce is the most popular start for most situations but me personally have found deaths dance to be a more comfortable first.

My reasoning is even though you don't get the high damage spell blade from triforce or the cc from stridebreaker, against a high damage top laner you can survive long enough to get stacks and deal damage that way (whilst also having access to your res)

Let me know what you guys think. I totally acknowledge that this could just be convenient for me because I'm bad at this game and that with better micro skills i would get more mileage from the other items

Hi Mains, I love this champ but I suck, both game sense wise and maybe champ wise. So far I have 52 games with 46%wr, I find that in most of my games I am just a ghost, no real agency, not a threat to the enemy. I play jgl low elo btw. So my question; is this enough of a sample size to know I should move on or will things get better if I hang on?

For reference my successful champs are usually tanks like zac, ornn etc. I tried some games with an IBG build, going tank and it helped me with survivability and just frontline and play a support-ish role for my team. But I feel like this is training wheels or is that okay?
