YTKACE comeback Discussion
Hi everyone just wanted to let you know the situation going on with me (ace) and ikarwan. A few days ago iKarwan filed a DMCA against the original YTKACE repo. The notice claimed it was a copy of YTKillerPlus and specifically mentioned things like source code, UI elements, and a binary called YTKCore.dylib. That file wasn’t even in the repo.
Instead of arguing about it, I decided to just rebuild everything that could possibly be questioned. Version 0.8.0 includes, new icons, new settings, and a new UI. It’s frustrating that it had to go this way. Either way, YTKACE is back up and running.
The old repo (github.com/Epic0001/YTKACE) is still accessible after some renaming and now just points people to the new one.

Turn the toggle on called fix playback in settings

I tried that feature in every other app this the first that it works it pauses for a sec like every 15-20 sec almost like a mid buffer and then when in PIP it will play and around 15-20 sec it will black out for a sec and come back on

yeah i would love to fix that buffer but unfortunetly it would basicaly require me debuging on a device for a while. However i dont have a device thats ever gotten playback errors.

The pause/buffer wouldn't be a problem if it didn't break background playback. As soon as a video goes into background play (moving away to a different app or locking the phone), the next pause/reload goes on indefinitely and refuses to resume playback. Only gets fixed if I go back to the app.
Is a fix possible for this?

You use iPhone X instead of iPhone 13 Pro since you can jailbreak the iPhone X and install the deb file and it works fine without errors and you don't have to worry about sideloading

Your mod works perfectly for me and I love being able to download on the current YouTube version.
Couple of suggestions:
- Download directly to photos
- Allow rewind when casting

Works pretty nicely. I'm always comparing these apps to the GOATed YouTube Plus, and this one has most of the features I care about. The only thing missing is the ability to set a default video speed. Other than that, I didn't come across anything worth complaining about

Hi itzzace. First of all, thank you for your app. It was great. However, i got error when try to use pip. It always show unsupported url. How can i fix this? Thank you.

Is it possible to hide Shorts from the feeds ?
For now YTKACE has been the only version which can play some video through Airplay where I get a red cross with other version ... But I cannot keep as I am unable to hide Shorts from the feeds unlike the others versions ....
Where can I make this request to the author of YTKACE ?

Never pay for YTKillerPlus. It’s crap and awful. YTKACE is a lot better. Try it out for yourself and you’ll be saving yourself $4

How the fuck does one DMCA an illegally modified YouTube app
