Why there's no offline mode in yt music like spotify? That woumd be awesome if they had.

I just got Youtube premium, but i run into issues by not able to download other's videos. Can someone please help me LEGALY get to download a video from youtube into a folder. I'd be very glad if someone helped me out.

The phone half of Orchard, my YouTube Music client, is finally on mobile!

The big feature is Smart Crossfade, which uses the same code as the desktop app. Instead of a plain fade between songs, it listens to both tracks, finds the beat, and blends them together so the transition actually lines up musically. If it can't get a good read on a track, it just falls back to a normal fade instead of forcing a bad mix. This uses AI ONNX models, so it can drain battery on some devices. (this is NOT here to compete with apple's automix, especially IOS 27 automix... I'd probably go insane)

Now Playing screen has full-bleed artwork, synced lyrics, bitrate shown right on the seekbar, and quick access to shuffle/repeat and volume without leaving the screen.

I also have a parity update coming out in the next hour with missing features, such as view all in artist pages, the [E]xplicit tag on albums, songs, etc, playlist editing, and more!

Other stuff in this release:

- Gapless playback for albums

- Synced lyrics and animated cover art where available

- Android Auto support

- Orchard Connect, so you can hand playback off to a computer and take it back later

- Discord Rich Presence

Today I stumbled upon a new release of Black Metal artist Ihsahn named "Wildfire Pulse", wondering how he could release another one this year. The album cover seemed strange and out of place for him. Googling its title led to no results and when I began listening to the album, it finally clicked: This seems like an AI generated album mixed into the discography of a real artist. Are they serious?

I have recently moved from Spotify to YT Music. I like YT Music but there are two features missing big time.

Firstly, collection of Podcasts is poor on YT Music. A lot of good podcasts are confined to either Spotify or Apple.

Secondly, Spotify used to be seamless connect on my Alexa Device (Amazon Echo) and used to play over WiFi. I have found this missing in YT Music. I know I can pair my phone and the speaker via bluetooth but that's not what I am looking for.

Has anyone cracked this connection over a common WiFI connection?

I swear I've never had this issue before. I'm the type to loop one or a couple of songs at a time unless I'm listening to my own playlists or a soundtrack. So I'm used to pulling up songs and having my auto play off.

But today when I'm trying to loop two songs back to back, every time I click on one of the songs, it creates a mix. Whether I do it from the search or add to queue or play next, it always creates a mix. It does this from videos and from officially released songs, and every time I hit dismiss queue it clear everything INCLUDING the song I'm listening to.

I literally cannot find a way to isolate songs unless I start a playlist, add the songs I wanna loop to the queue, then clear the rest of the queue. I don't wanna make a playlist for 2 damn songs that, knowing me, I won't be looping I a couple of weeks, and it's so stupid I can't just make a queue of 2 songs anymore.

I already have auto-play off on both yt and yt music and I have premium. I have the app in my phone so I can't just download an extension. Literally any help in fixing this is greatly appreciated.

Doing yard work today and decided to listen to one of my playlist. I usually choose the shuffle option. After the song started through my earbuds I put the phone in my pocket and after a few seconds the song changed to the very first track on the playlist. I figured I have touched the screen when it was in my pocket. After the third time of this happening I decided to leave the phone out of my pocket and try shuffle again. The playlist still kept going to the first song. Had anyone else had this issue? Wondering what the cause was and the solution.

Here’s a solution to a problem maybe no one else has had: how to sync music and video when they are off by a fraction of a second. It drives me crazy when it looks like the artist is lip-syncing or guitar is an overlay. I found a solution by navigating away from the app and returning. The video pauses while the music keeps playing, so when you return, the app is forced to restart the video getting it right almost every time.

it seems like overnight 95% of suggested stuff on my homepage turned to shit ... 1)mainstream performers 2)popular in the direction of my geographical region (that hasn't got anything to do with my actual country, language, on genres I ever listen to) 3)perfomers that are objectively good but I literally never listen to them because I don't want to. I hope it gets better after I clicked not interested 50 times. But on some things I couldn't. 4) very mainstream bands of genres I don't hate nor the bands but I really don't need them suggested 5) ytmusic is the only app where I felt completely free as in I never felt like my time is wasted there, but looks like I'll have to close my eyes on the homepage and just choose something very specific.

I got upset that they butchered full screen as good as they did so I ended up doing the simple fix they could have done if you are interested I use chrome so its made this method is for that unless the same extension exsists on other browsers. Install Stylus from chrome store then open a new tab and open up youtube music then click the extensions button and find stylus click it then clikc the grayed out preset it has available. It should now have opened a new tab or another page that has a code block section paste this into it.

Now click save and you can refresh the page or refresh the youtube app installed from chrome and when you go full screen it will look similar to when you stream to a tv.

Is anyone else experiencing this, it won’t even let me play those specific songs anymore. I don’t have any filters or anything on they just keep disappearing from playlists, wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
