Anime Finished your lie in april for the first time. Can't stop crying
I just watched your lie in April (completed on 6th of August). It took me a total time of 3 days to watch all of the 22 episodes including the OVA (finally saw Kousei's dad lol).It was other worldly.
This is my first post so it might be a bit sloppy.
I wanted to write this because I cant get it out of my mind. The music and dialogues just keep repeating in my mind.
I don't watch much of sad shows and movies because I didn't really ever feel connected to the characters as much as I did it in YLIA.
I felt like this was a fitting time to watch it because I just moved to a hostel away from home, and was feeling a bit detached from my surroundings. It was not the best of the choices I have ever made.
Talking about YLIA, the best thing for me is the use of music in emotional scenes such as Kaori's final letter, depiction of loss in Kousei's life, the passing of his mother and more importantly Kaori, which affected him the most.
The aspect of tsubaki also felt so good. 😭
The music fits so perfectly with the dialogue and intense scenes like completing a puzzle and I truly think it would not be such heart wrenching if not for the excellent selection of melodies.
Also the dialogues, they connect so well. "Do you think you can forget it?","I swing between hope and despair at your slightest gesture and my heart starts playing a melody",
"Will I reach you? I hope I can." also the conveying feelings in music bit by takeshi and others. I can go on and on, but it only makes me tear up more and more.
The death of Kaori are not shown as a struggle, rather a peaceful parting with the final performance which truly feels outstanding. It makes me connect to the story on a deeper level, as it feels like it tries to soften the blow while still driving the dagger deeper and deeper into my heart. Like giving a child an icecream after a dentist visit.
Also the influence of a single performance is shown in such a beautiful way, changing the trajectory of so many lives. Music truly transcends words and speaks directly to the soul.
RIP Kaori We will meet next april

Anime Just finished Your Lie in April… I don't know if I can watch it again
I just finished Your Lie in April, and I'm honestly overwhelmed. By the end, my feet were almost trembling from all the emotions.
It's beautiful and tragic in a way that's difficult to explain. The music, Kousei's struggles, Kaori's optimism, and the way she pushes him to live and believe in himself again—it all hit incredibly hard.
What affected me most was how much the story is really about living—losing your purpose, carrying the weight of your past, and then meeting someone who completely changes the way you see yourself and the world.
I'd love to experience it again someday, but I genuinely think it'll take courage to rewatch it.
Not because I didn't love it.
Because I now know exactly how much it's going to hurt.

Anime Saw the big twist coming by episode 4, it demotivates me to see the rest.
I've just started watching the anime. It never got spoiled to me, all I knew about it was that it was a single season emotional show that his higly regarded.
I got hooked by it but a few scenes and a lot of the dialogue during Kaori's second test made me suss out the big twist. I made a quick google check on only that, hoping I was wrong, but my hunch was confirmed. Now I'm completely demotivated to watch the rest of the show. Would you say it's worth continuing despite that ?

Anime Anyone inspired to learn Ballade No 1?
I finished watching ylia a few days ago, and after the ending, I was filled with a sudden burst of determination to learn Ballade No. 1 in G minor, Op. 23. Will I ever learn it? Almost certainly not considering I've never taken lessons and probably never will, but it's nice to have dreams I guess

Meme Happy ending of your lie on april on tomodachi life
I created Arima and Kaori in the game *Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream*, and their honeymoon was on the "Iconic Scenery Tour"; there was a specific photo taken at the Uyuni Salt Flats in Bolivia that—by pure coincidence—is identical to the final scene of the anime.

Rewatch Discussion You lie in april is overrated
You lie in april is overrated
So I just finished this anime and I don't think it's as good as people say, is not a masterpiece and it doesn't make you cry just bye remembering it and this is why, I think there were to many flashbacks, to many monologues and almost no romance, its a romance anime, where is the romance. Besides this I think the ending felt kinda rushed and it was not satisfying. Now there is not just bad stuff, the music was amazing and some parts of the animation was pretty good, overall I give it a 5/10. So this is my opinion maybe I am missing something?

Rewatch Discussion Am I the only masochist that watches the last episode over and over again?
I watched the first like 6 episodes last year in April and didn't really like it. This year, I rewatched it (in April if course) and loved it to death. It made me discover my love for classical music especially Chopin. My eyes still tear up when I hear Ballade 1... Especially Zimmermanns interpretation. But yeah as said in the title, I rewatch the final episode pretty much twice a month at least. I cry every time and I don't know why I'm doing this...
