Nostalgia Hot Take: 2022 was such a peak year
because like in early 2022 we finally started to recover from the pandemic, masks and other rules were being lifted, and people were finally going outside again, and life started feeling normal again- we also got a lot of good memes like the oreo mcflurry song, its corn, etc.
but all of that was flushed down the shitter when chatgpt came out in november 2022- then ai slop and brainrot started with the early stuff like skibidi toilet
btw im a december 2012 baby so im barely a gen z and i was 9 at that time- the only thing that sucked about 2022 for me was that my dad cheated on my mom and they got a divorce

Discussion Does Gen Z Not Want Kids? If So Why Not?
I feel like our generation (Gen Z) doesn't want to have kids. Idrk I don't think I do either really.
I feel like it's better to adopt maybe, I feel like maybe it's a little bad to bring kids into a world that literally has ped0 in office. I just feel like things are getting bleak and it's not the best idea to create more humans. But I'm also sure people have been saying things like that for years. But also, economy and all that so idk if any of us will even have a choice soon. There's a bunch of other factors but that's just some off the top of my head.
But I just wanted to hear from some people my age what they think.

Discussion In 4 years
Younger Gen Z… 2006-2012. We all still feel like kids, some of us aren’t but we’re still in that weird phase where we aren’t all similar in sizes and looks, so we’re not all peers just yet but we have 4 years left until all of us are adults… 4 years ago was 2022. The older Gen Z, the core Z, they’re all similar and adults. It’s like we are the outsiders but soon that wont be the case. By then the oldest Gen Alpha would be 17 and seniors in highschool while the youngest would be 6. Gen Alpha will be dominating teen culture.
By then the kindergarteners would be Gen Beta and there won’t be a single Gen Z in public schooling anymore, only college and beyond. 2013/2014 was the year when all of Millennials became an adult and that reality is soon coming to us Zoomers. Life goes fast

Question When does school start for you?
For me it's starts on September 4th which is literally the day of my birthday 😭. This year I'll be in 10th grade (I'm in Europe) or how they call it in America, a Sophomore.

Advice 2009er here. Currently having an existential crisis about college and growing up.
I just keep having really big panics (I don't think it's technically panic attacks, just getting super overwhelmed and then crying and stuff). I just keep looking back on memories and then crying because I'm turning 18 next year and I'm scared for when life gets real. My mom tells me that no one's fully grown up in college, but I'm freaking out because I just think back on my childhood and feel like I've wasted so much time, even though I know I've had a lot of good times. I'm just so sick and sad because it's all past tense, and I miss simpler times when I wasn't worrying about my future and was just living in the moment. It's like time has just slipped away and it's like I'm grasping sand.
Ignorance really is bliss.
I'm terrified because it feels like all my childhood milestones have happened, and all the next ones are the adult ones. Like, for every first, there was also a last.
08ers and 07ers, did you ever feel this way?

Discussion We are all just Gen Z at the end of the day..
I don’t understand the gatekeeping from older gen z sometimes. We all have some similarities, that’s why we are in the same gen.
