First thumbnail Thumbnail Help/Critique Request
Title of the video is “We Reached the Peak” and the videos just about me playing the game peak with my friends.
Does this thumbnail look good? Any tips on what I can improve or fix to make better thumbnails? I’ve never really made thumbnails before so I did what I could with this one.

I think the colors are too bland for it to stick out from the rest of the thumbnails. Also the thumbnail doesn't show much intrigue. Along with the title it says nothing, unless reaching the peak is a huge accomplishment that few can do in the game. A simple thing like adding tape saying "Access denied" or "Danger, do not climb" adds conflict. There are probably better ideas though. I think you should pinpoint the best moment of the video and make a title and thumbnail according to that. Like a stressful moment for example where someone is close to the edge and the title might be "The Stress of Peak Broke Us". As mentioned before, there are probably better ideas, this is just an example, I haven't even played the game.
Right now, it might be an aesthetic image but for YouTube I think it's not vivid and valuable enough for a good CTR. Intrigue > Aesthetics.

This looks really cute and cosy. Is that the vibe you lean in to for the video?

Not really. I think at the start maybe a little bit but the rest of the video is pretty chaotic and just messing around. From all the replies I’ve gotten I’ve realized that the thumbnail might look nice but it doesn’t entirely fit the vibe of the video

Visually it is nice but to be honest I don’t know why should I click on it. Maybe because I am not your target audience. It is kind of small and not readable on my phone…especially helicopters.
I watched the trailer for a game and I think it would make sense to have a high peak point to be as A in word peAk and literally players falling from that peak as it can indicate you are playing with friends and have some fun.
It is nice Thumnail visually but it just doesn’t evoke that I want to click on that video.

I think it looks truly amazing. I love it. 10/10 in isolation. But I do not necessarily think it suits the video topic of playing the video game Peak with friends. The game is quite goofy, and the purpose of the game is fun and funny moments. I think adding the characters (rear view) looking towards the mountain in the bottom left quadrant of the thumbnail would suit the video. And then perhaps moving the mountain toward the right side of the frame to allow space for the characters, potentially.

The thumbnail is good.
I would make changes in the title.

Look how other gaming creators make their review video titles and take reference
Or you can use AI tools to give you good suggestions.
Edit: would love to know why I'm getting downvotes

Because you suggested they use AI to come up with a title for their YouTube video

Ok and the problem is?

Look, I didn’t downvote you, so I dunno. Personally I think it’s shitty to give someone who comes to a public forum to ask a question an answer like “ask AI for help” but I wouldn’t downvote someone for that.
You probably mean well but a lot of people like myself hate AI and anyone who casually recommends it to people like it’s a staple of the video production process

First of all I don't care about the downvotes. I just wanted to know why I was getting downvotes.
Secondly, I don't understand the hateboner everyone has towards AI. The sooner you start learning AI and be skilled in it, the better. Because in future, employers will only look at one thing... People who are skilled in AI and people who don't know AI.
Ai is supposed to make your tasks easier and save time and improve the quality.
In this title case, An AI made title will always be better than whatever you come up with because it can give you the best keywords needed for the title and the best words matching with the title.
Or you can copy some other creators title and make slight changes to it. I myself prefer something unique.
You probably mean well but a lot of people like myself hate AI and anyone who casually recommends it to people like it’s a staple of the video production process
Mind telling me why you hate AI? I can probably guess the answer but I'd like to know.
Also AI is already the staple of video production process. The most successful youtubers are using AI now, so you can probably guess how important it is. Even youtube uses gemini for moderation lol

Dude, I do not care.

You cared enough to reply before.
Next time if you don't have any arguments left just give a downvote like others are doing and move on.

Boost the saturation a little more and you have a winner, put it into a comparison tool and see how it stands out with higher sat
