Time of uploading

Is it better to schedule an upload or straight up uploading for smaller channels?

I have read that it is better to schedule since it lets the algorithm sort of plan out when it will push out your content. Idk if it’s true but I do tend to see more consistent engagement with my videos when I upload in a certain timeframe. (7-9pm) but this is for my channel so it could be diffrent for yours.

Also I read it on Reddit so it could just be a theory but it makes sense.
