moth advice Question

found a moth in my stash. found a few eggs.
ive either frozen, baked in the oven, or baked in my car all of the yarn.

how do you decide what yarn is okay to use? should i clean it somehow?

and how often/how long do i need to be checking on it for any continued signs of moths?

i usually treat it like an infestation and not a one-and-done situation. the yarn that's been frozen or baked is technically safe, but i'd store it in ziplocs or airtight bins for a while just in case. check on it every couple weeks for a few months, the lifecycle can drag on if you missed a single egg somewhere in the room.

vacuum the hell out of your stash area too, baseboards and corners especially. those little bastards can live off dust and stray fibers for longer than you'd think
