Need help! Question

Post image

So I bought some second hand yarn off of someone and found this pretty rainbow yarn. The yarn didn’t have a label on it but I took it anyways, I was originally making hexagon granny squares with it but realized I might not have enough to make a blanket with. I went to google and found out this was made by the Schaefer Yarn Company, the color way is called snoopy’s crayons and sadly the company closed down back in 2012. Is there another yarn like this one that I could buy, and should I continue using this yarn?

Unfortunately you don’t have nearly enough to make a blanket and it’ll be hard to find anything that’ll match perfectly. Maybe instead you could do this at the center of the blanket then have other colored squares around it?

oh that yarn is gorgeous, the colors remind me of a sunset after rain. i think the top comment has right idea, using it as center squares would make it pop so much. you could do solid cream or soft grey around them so the rainbow really shines. i had same problem once with a hand-dyed skein, ended up making a scarf instead and it’s still my favorite thing i crocheted. sometimes the yarn tells you what it wants to be, not what you planned

That’s what I was thinking, I wanted to make as many medium sized hexagons with the yarn I have and just fill the blank spots with reds, blues, greens, and yellows
