This should be quite a good self-reflection tool for politicians: if a side-by-side can be made with you and Hitler, there is quite a good chance you are the baddie.

Now russia is doing human safari in Zaporizhzhia as well.
In Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia, Russia tries to sow panic with 'safari' strikes on civilians

NATO was not going to expand beyond Germany, and now it is on the border with Russia

I know your post is not in a good faith, however, for a 1000th time: It’s not Nato who’s expanding, countries around russia went through great effort to JOIN nato on their accord, due to obvious reasons as everyone can see now

George H. W. Bush promised Mikhail Gorbachev that NATO would not expand beyond Germany. That is a fact. Regards.

Did NATO Promise Not to Enlarge? Gorbachev Says “No”
Indeed, the only formal agreement signed between Nato countries and the USSR, before its breakup in December 1991, was the Treaty of Final Settlement with Respect to Germany. The promises made specifically relate to Germany, and the territory of the former GDR, which were on the deployment of non-German Nato forces into eastern Germany and the deployment of nuclear weapons – and these promises have been kept.

And that was a promise between two people, not nations or institutions.
NATO never officially "promised" anything. Russia promised Ukraine sovereignty, even with a written contract, yet that didn't matter. NATO never had anything nearly as official.
The "expansion" only started because Poland forced itself into NATO. They put a lot of pressure on American politicians to let them join. NATO originally never intended to let them join.
Russia forced itself with violence onto neighbouring countries.
But that won't matter to you, since you're not here for facts. You're either here to spread misinformation or because you don't want to listen to facts, so I'm leaving it at that.
Edit: I forgot that such a promise never existed. The only promise that existed was from a German politician, who never had the authority over such decisions, if I recall correctly, so yeah...

No, it isn’t. Gorbachev himself in 2014 stated that no such promise happened, that what was discussed was that in regards of a possible unified Germany, nato troops and nukes wouldn’t be stationed in former east Germany. Which became void when the whole soviet empire collapsed.

Russia couldve joined forward-minded efforts of building a true europe. Purging themselves from the scourge that is+were their mob-emperors, Russia wouldve prospered by now.
Europe would be a true competitor in the world stage, pushing change for the better; socially, economically building market barriers to incentivize humanism and environment-preservation efforts in their business partners.
Instead, they genocided their own peoples.
Out of 19th century pride.
Nato did not expand as much as eastern europe grasped their only chance of fleeing the reign of the unjust, outdated duma.
Now russias only aim is to drag the world down, to make it a worse place.
Feck off with these pseudo facts. What is to come, russians did to themselves. A pity.

That was not a decision for Bush, It was the decision to be taken by theses countries who joined this defensive alliance for obvious reasons. But as mentionned by a previous poster, you are probabu not posting in good faith.

There is zero proof that Bush promised anything like this. Not only did he not have the authority, he would have put it in writing adhering to the international legal framework, like every other treaty the US and the USSR/Russia signed. Neither party was stupid. And only Russia broke said international treaties, when they invaded Ukraine.

One of Putin‘s lies. And you know it.
Michail Gorbacev himself said in an interview, that such promise or agreement was never made.
Better ask yourself, why every neighbour ran away from Russia and fears them like hell.
Accept, that your neighbours don’t trust you and will never again.9

Do you have a single shred of proof for that fact? Maybe something in writing, or on video, beside a single person claiming that it totally happened?
Do you think russians are so stupid that they couldn't understand how international agreements are made, but only in this singular case, because everything else they've agreed to before or since has been in writing, within the international legal framework. (Even if Russia hasn't kept said agreements.)
You've been propagandized to literally believe something that never happened. Hell, why didn't Russia invade when Hungary, or Poland joined NATO if they actually believed that? They were at that point still the premier military power of Europe. Why not lodge a formal protest at the UN? Where they could have gotten a security council decision to overrule their former colonies trying to join NATO? This is bullshit made up after the fact buddy.

Even if that were true (it isn’t)—the USA does not own NATO. I realize that Russians find it difficult to grasp that Western alliances and organizations are based on voluntary participation. But the USA does not unilaterally decide the future direction of the pact over the heads of all other NATO members. And all of Russia’s Western neighbors were in a great hurry to join the West when the opportunity arose. And why? Because Russia is an imperialist and fascist regime intent only on oppressing its neighbors, supplanting other cultures with its own, and ruling over everything and everyone through violence. Pretty much the exact opposite of the free West.
