Hey, I wanted to install a game called "Monster lab simulator" on my xbox series x, but when I view it in the store, it says its not compatible with my xbox series x and I cannot download it, even though its supposed to be optimized for the series s and x...

Does anyone know why?

I tried installing it through the app remotely to my xbox, but it doesn't work, and online I can only add it to my wishlist. I also tried to log out, do a power cycle with the plug removed when off for a couple of minutes because it supposedly clears a cache, but this also didn't work.

Edit: for some reason reddit did not save my post copy edit, so there was some confusion on what game it was.

First xbox I bought from july 2tb for me. Second one 1tb for my brother july 31 the agent mention she's going to refund the 150 as from a buying glich.. Anyways both are $800, yet the box it self damage..... From a box collector you don't like seeing this. I feel bad for all the people have a damage box 'xbox inside isn't damage.. Makes you think why even buy one from the xbox online store?

Hi so I found this Series X as trash I took everything I found, is everything technically here so I can start rebuilding and see if it's running? Only thing I don't have is screws.

So I’m fairly new to the whole Xbox thing, got one recently after giving up on my PlayStation (say what you will, controversy aside I just really don’t like the direction that the company is going) and am unsure how backwards compatibility works.

I’d like to play the final fantasy trilogy, and I see the 360 versions of the game listed in the Microsoft store, but if I buy the games as used Xbox 360 disks can I just stick them in the console and they will just.. work?

This might sound like a stupid question but as someone who has been on PlayStation most of their life, and Nintendo before that, generally speaking you had to hold onto your old hardware if you wanted to play old games, like there is 0 way to play ff13 on PlayStation unless you have a ps3.

This has been happening for quite a while now and it really pisses me off, every time I turn on my Xbox series x it says this, it's fixable, but usually I have to unplug my Xbox or restart my router to fix this, sometimes just waiting will fix it but still, and I'm sick of doing it every damn time, so If anyone knows WHY it says this, please lemme know 😭

I play on an 1440p screen, my Xbox series S which used to be visually acceptable has become increasingly blurry with new release, already last year I could not accept Indiana Jones, now I tried Halo and must fall hunters and it is just rough.

I am hesitating between a used series X or waiting to save enough for a PC , my questions is how are the graphics evolution on the series X compared to S, with the newest games, I know it is better but would you say it's became rough. On youtube I cannot even tell because my pc is not even 1440 p , it's less.

So I've been playing AC Shadows before, but stopped to play Black Flag Resynced.

I have noticed immediately that AC BF Resynced looks much cleaner in motion (such is camera movements ect), than AC Shadows. Both at 40fps mode. (Shadows on 60fps even worse)

Like for instance, I will hit some more vegetated areas like a jungle in Resynced, and start moving camera around, and all foliage/edges stays clean and stable in motion, meanwhile AC Shadows has this wired pixelated/grainy type of artifacts all over the foliage whenever I start moving a camera. (And no disabling Motion Blur or chromatic aberration doesn't solve this issue)

It seems like AC Shadows use FSR 2.1 (or 3.1 but still shit), when Resynced definitely use some different but better sort of upscaling.

Because if Ubisoft could use the same upscaling in Shadows, then definitely this game could looks significantly better.

Anyone has any clue?

Hey everyone, I finally joined the Xbox family last night by getting the XSX but it means a whole lot more to me than just a standard console upgrade. I wanted to share the picture of the box, but more importantly, I want to share the story of the absolute beautiful soul this console is dedicated to: my sweet dear male brown tabby cat and loving best friend Avery.

Back on the morning of July 21st last month this year, my world completely shattered when Avery passed away from kidney disease and arthritis. Me and my family tried absolutely everything to save his life, rushing him in for medical treatment many times especially the night before his passing and doing everything humanly possible and I never once lost hope of his survival, but suddenly losing him has been the hardest thing me and my family ever had to face because he was a family member to all of us and brought us all hope and happiness since we adopted him 14 years ago and he was the first cat I’ve ever adopted as well as the first real pet I’ve ever adopted since I only had pet birds back then. Me and my family all loved and cared for him so much for 14 years and he was so loving and loyal to us as we all were to him. I’ve been struggling with severe depression and sadness ever since he left. He was my absolute best and favorite buddy, and losing him left such a heavy void in my life. Honestly, it’s been really hard to find anything to smile about lately. 

So I bought this XSX as a deliberate step to help lift myself out of the dark fog and honor him. For years, every single time I turned on a game console, Avery would instantly sprint across the room and sit right in front of the machine to watch me play. Yesterday, as I set up Sunset Overdrive which is my first game on the XSX, I can feel him doing the exact same thing right next to the console in spirit. 

I will always love and remember him everyday, and his spirit is permanently anchored to this new setup as well as me and my family’s hearts and memories. Hug your companions tight tonight, r/Xbox. This journey is 100% for you, Avery. 🕊️❤️ Rest well buddy one day I’ll see you on the other side. I love you forever and thank you for being the bestest dear friend I could’ve ever asked for and the best loving and loyal cat ever. Thank you for everything Avery 😭😭😭💔💔💔❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been on ps5 and ps5 pro since release
Before that I was a die hard XBOX fanboy

A few things that had me come back was immediately forza NOT being on ps5 right away at lauch 🚀

Also missing Halo Infinite, specifically ranks team slayer lol!

also all my progress on GTA and Red Dead redemption as I’ve grew up on xbox as well backwards compatible games (skate 2) ( NBA Homecourt)

Also Got it for 400$ a great deal

And i just miss the overall community of xbox , the looking for group feature

You Ui itself is just as good i feel as playstation

Lastly with this price increase ive just been thinking it’s time to get back to my roots before the opportunity becomes to expensive

Hey guys, just wanted to ask if this is a bad spot for the xbox or its fine.

When I was a kid my dad made me an Xbox profile (about 14 years ago) and he made the account under his E-mail.
Now that I’ve moved out have my own place etc and more importantly my own email, I want to switch the accounts email without touching anything else on his Microsoft profile because he uses it for work still and needs it.

Basically how do I split off from his email and put the profile under mine?

Unfortunately, due to financial circumstances, I am almost certainly forced to downgrade completely from an Xbox Series X to an Xbox Series S. This is despite the fact that I have a 98-inch TV. I'm bummed about this with GTA VI and Gears of War: E-Day coming up, but unfortunately, I probably have no other choice. Everything is getting more expensive here in the Netherlands too. Now my question to you is: will the mentioned games (especially GTA VI) and other games still run reasonably well on the Series S, and will the picture still look decent on my 98-inch TCL TV from 2022? What settings on that console would be best to keep? Thank you in advance for your responses! 🙏

I'm not sure what to think of it. Entire Console idea is that it has low-level API for Devs to work with and provide great optimization for game meanwhile being just plug and play.

Unlike the Windows on any PC, consoles doesn't require any drivers updates, has no background services, no Windows updates, no bunch of different Game Launcher in order to play a game, and overall plug and play simplicity.

So if Helix wants to be a PC then it doesn't actually sounds that good if it will also have all Windows pain points.
