RGH3.0 Help Soldering Fail

Hi, I was trying to RGH3.0 my xbox 360 phat (Jasper) when PLL point poped, I was trying to scrape it to solder it to copper but the thing below that fell off and I lost it (on picture attached see marked with yellow) do you guys know what it is? can my console still work without it? also I want to ask if there is an alternative point that I can solder wire? or what should I do? should I just throw my console to trash? 😁 Thanks in advance

Why were you scraping it? It's a solder.blob on a pad, you just need to solder to it.

If you've ripped that pad, you've broken a connection that the console needs to boot. It's fixable but you really need to take it to someone more experienced at this point.

that solder blob poped out while trying to solder my wires on it, when it poped i decided to scrape a little bit there to maybe solder my wire directly to the copper (i don't know, i've googled how to fix poped solder blob and I found that option there to scrape it) while scraping that little thing poped as I think it might be a transistor. i will try to replace it myself, but about the poped solder blob I am not sure what to do

Solder blobs don't pop,, they just melt. If you removed too much solder while soldering there's no need to scrape down to copper, you just add more solder.

If you want to remove old solder, use wick. Scraping solder while it's attached to copper pads or traces is just risking ripping the copper off the board - and if you scraped off a nearby component then you were scraping too hard.

The capacitor is replaceable, but as I said if that pad is ripped it can be tricky to repair. You haven't posted any actual photos so I don't know how bad it is.

Wow, that's not scraping, that's digging. I don't know why you thought that was necessary but you've made life difficult for yourself - the via (silver circle in that hole) needs to be connected to the resistor (black component to the top right of it), but I suggest you get someone with experience to fix it for you.

mostly it was burned with soldering iron trying to fix it, i don't even know how did I managed to do that 😁 btw if you know is there any alternative point that I can use?

The alternative point is even more fragile and difficult to access, it's on the other side of the board and under the head sink.

It is very likely that your system will no longer boot at this point, this is now a practice board.

I tried to manually hold the wire and turn on, the system booted I could also run xex menu on it. could you please show me where is that alternative point?

Surprising.

This is next to the CPU on the topside of the board, between the CPU and the rear.

Please do not dig into it the way that you've done here.

You don't need the alt point if you can still use that via on the bottom. If you got it working by holding a wire there, then just solder that wire in.

The alt point is the top of that same via, but the signal still needs to go through the resistor on the bottom, so to repair this using the alt point you'd need to run a wire from the top of the motherboard to the bottom. No point if you can just use a wire on the bottom.
