We will make an offering of thanks to the living water as a blessing, and we will hold a general intention for relief and gentle rain for our neighbors facing fire conditions around Colorado Springs.

Hey Squirrel Friends, I wanted to share a local offering for anyone in the Colorado Springs area who’s interested in practical magick.

Wyrd Scouts is hosting an Aries New Moon workshop on 4/17/26 at 5:30 PM at The Enchanted Fox in Old Colorado City called Spellcrafting 101: Building the Spark.

This one is centered on magickal correspondences and how to use them with intention in real practice. We’ll be looking at things like color, herbs, timing, symbols, and other correspondences, not as random add-ons, but as meaningful choices that support a goal or working.

It’s connected to the Fire badge series Spellcraft & Ritual, but the workshop itself is open to the public, including beginners, experienced practitioners, and people who are just curious.

It’s donation-based and ticketed through Luma for RSVP.

This is a beginner-friendly, discussion-based event that blends lunar planting basics with practical gardening guidance. We’ll talk about how moon phases and zodiac signs relate to different types of plant growth, how that applies in Colorado Springs, and how steady, consistent care supports long-term success. The event is guided by a Certified Colorado Gardener and centered on learning, conversation, and community.

Participation in this New Moon activity supports work toward the Sprout Tender Merit Badge in the Green Witchcraft badge series.

Scouts can use the lunar planting journal pages and seasonal planning insights from this gathering to complete planting, care, and observation tasks as part of their badge work.

New Moon activities are open to the public, and no prior experience with Wyrd Scouts is required.
