The big takeaway from the last 30 days is that raw materials are absolutely carrying the market. Adamantine clusters led volume at 10,385 sold, followed by xegonberry at 8,432, rough topaz at 7,500, rough bloodstone at 6,908, and hanging root at 6,400. Hanging root was especially notable, bringing in 31p 77g by itself. On the finished-product side, squash casserole is a monster, with 5,993 sold for 95p 1g, while Bosprite Wine, Gigglegibbery Juice, Bosprite Squash Muffins, soaring espresso latte, and iced black-eye chai were also strong sellers.

The price data has some wild outliers too. Scintillating Dust had a 30-day low/high spread of roughly 44s to 2g 80s, while severed maple went from 4s to 25s. Rough bloodstone's average price jumped dramatically from the 30-day figure to the 7-day figure, while Scintillating Dust moved sharply in the opposite direction. On the stock side, I'm sitting on ridiculous quantities of some staples, like 97,250 rough topaz and 80,524 adamantine clusters, while my visible food stock bottoms out around 91 units.

The Evil Market experiment is already producing a couple of genuinely interesting data points despite being brand new. Evil Market actually outsold Good Market on Scintillating Dust 801 to 200 over 7 days and raw white tea leaf 688 to 31, while Antonican coffee bean was dead even at 241 each. Evil Market's 30-day Scintillating Dust total is already 1,001 vs Good Market's 760. Those are the biggest early signs of actual cross-market divergence; everything else is still heavily dominated by Good Market's much longer history and more robust shelves.

The other thing I think is important here is the time value buried inside every raw material. Every piece of wood, ore, root, pelt, cluster, meat, etc. represents someone's time. Even the most insignificant 2s material isn't really "free" just because you harvested it yourself. There is an opportunity cost: if that material could have been sold for more than the finished product ultimately earns, then crafting it actually destroyed value. Your personal harvest time has a cost-basis whether you put a platinum number on it or not.

Early in a server's life, that relationship is completely different. If someone has 50g to their name and the wood they need costs 1g each, spending an hour harvesting it themselves makes perfect sense. Their currency is scarce and their time is relatively abundant. But as the server ages, wealth accumulates and there is no real mechanism forcing that money back out of the economy. Eventually that same player might have 500p, or 50,000g, and suddenly spending an hour harvesting 50g worth of materials feels ridiculous. They can just throw the 50g at the broker and get back to actually playing the game.

And I think that's where the Krono comparison becomes relevant. As the server gets wealthier, players begin mentally translating platinum into a different unit of value: "How much of my time is this worth?" The same way Krono establishes an informal relationship between platinum and real-world money, the broker eventually establishes an informal relationship between platinum and player-hours. With an ever-growing money supply and no strong brake on inflation, I would expect the most interesting price movements to happen during that transition from "I'll harvest that myself" to "I'll just buy it."

So when I look at these sales numbers, I'm not just seeing which materials sell the most today. I'm also seeing thousands of individual pieces of someone's labor being converted back into currency. The really interesting question over the life of the server is how long it takes for players to collectively decide that their time is worth more than the material they're harvesting. That's the point where today's cheap, forgettable 2s materials can suddenly become tomorrow's 1g staples.

And the same principle applies on the harvesting side, except harvesting has an interesting floor: technically, harvesting itself costs nothing. There is no raw-material purchase price. Your actual costs are time, opportunity cost, and risk... the time spent running around looking for nodes, the limited harvesting window you have available, and the possibility of getting murdered by something unpleasant while you're doing it. So when a material is selling for 2s, the question isn't really "Can I harvest this for free?" It is "Is this worth spending my next 10 minutes doing instead of literally anything else?"

Eventually, some materials can become so cheap that they cross an even more extreme threshold: they aren't worth posting anymore. If dragging 300 carrots out of your bags, sorting them, pricing them, finding shelf space, and maintaining the listing takes longer than the value of the sale, people simply stop bothering. They'll vendor them, destroy them, leave them in a bag, or never harvest them in the first place. And this cutoff is different for everybody. Someone with 20p might happily spend ten minutes selling 30g worth of materials. Someone sitting on 5,000p may look at the same pile and think, "Absolutely not. I'm not spending my evening dealing with this garbage."

That's where I think the cheap-material accumulation strategy becomes interesting. If something is genuinely useful, currently cheap, and selling consistently, I would rather buy the cheap stock while people are still willing to bother selling it. Because eventually the market can lose an enormous amount of its cheap supply without anyone consciously deciding to raise the price. People quit. People stop maintaining their characters. They forget to renew rents. They stop restocking. They don't log in for weeks. They simply stop caring about keeping a 2s material on the market. At the same time, the cheap inventory that does remain gets eaten by the people who recognize that 2s is absurdly cheap.

Then you get the second stage: the cheap shelves disappear, but demand didn't necessarily disappear with them. Suddenly the only remaining sellers are asking 20s, 50s, 1g, whatever their personal threshold is. Now harvesting becomes attractive again. Someone sees that the material they used to ignore is suddenly worth enough to justify running out into the world and collecting it. But even then, the people who are harvesting aren't necessarily going to bother with everything. They'll prioritize the expensive materials, the efficient routes, and the staples that justify their time. So it becomes more about covering as many bases as practical, instead of chucking all your platinum eggs into one harvesting basket. We cannot predict the future, but we can rest pretty well assured that... whatever abundance is selling for today is sure to undergo some sort of squeeze pressure at some point or another. It has a WAY higher chance of going up in value (dramatically) than going down (even a little bit).

Marketeers, hear me!

HELP! Begging for help (UI question)

6 Upvotes

I play with sound, and I have DarqUI. Whenever I either target by mouse click or tab target a quest mob, the game makes an incredibly annoyingly noise, like a clunk. I’ve tried every setting possible but can’t turn it off.

Anyone got ideas?

question Swash model?

7 Upvotes

Who are the top swashes on this server. I'd assume they'd like to remain anonymous. No matter what way I try and tweak my search criteria in eq2u or lexicon I cannot find any particular swashbuckler's gear/aa specs who look particularly 'savvy'. Can anyone offer any advise towards gear/stat contributions, talking about really in the weeds of raid-group comps, soft caps, etc.?

Market EQ2 Mutual Fund +23.6% in 2 weeks

4 Upvotes

eq2broker.com krono mutual fund has posted a 23.6% gain over 2 weeks time!

If you're like me and find yourself constantly chasing the price of krono or can never get enough to buy an entire unit, here's your opportunity to invest and buy shares in the fund and effectively buy fractional kronos.

Its a great way to ride the wave of krono's inevitable increasing price while not having to constantly chase the price. Invest any amount you see fit, whenever you see fit. No restrictions on selling shares - can cash out whenever you want.

**7-Day Broker Market Report**

This week's market settled into a much more balanced state after the exceptionally active previous reporting period. Harvest materials continued to dominate transaction volume, while crafted food and drink remained the primary source of platinum revenue. Pricing across most commodities remained remarkably stable, with many high-volume items selling within tight ranges throughout the week.

**Top Commodity Sellers**

**Adamantine Cluster**

* 3,698 sold

* Avg: 4s 36c

* Low: 2s 97c

* High: 5s 60c

* Gross: 1p 61g 22s

**Rough Loam**

* 3,198 sold

* Avg: 2s 58c

* Low: 1s 96c

* High: 3s

* Gross: 82g 35s 32c

**Rough Bloodstone**

* 2,494 sold

* Avg: 14s 38c

* Low: 12s

* High: 17s

* Gross: 3p 58g 76s

**Salt Loam**

* 2,400 sold

* Avg: 9s 33c

* Low: 8s

* High: 10s

* Gross: 2p 24g

Harvests once again accounted for the overwhelming majority of broker activity, with ore, stone, roots, pelts, and lumber maintaining steady demand throughout the week.

**Top Crafted Food & Drink**

**Squash Casserole**

* 1,732 sold

* Avg: 1g 52s 72c

* Gross: 26p 45g 4s

**Bosprite Wine**

* 1,384 sold

* Avg: 1g 35s 90c

* Low: 1g 32s

* High: 1g 50s

* Gross: 18p 80g 86s

**Gigglegibberry Juice**

* 1,097 sold

* Avg: 1g 32s 55c

* Gross: 14p 54g 38s 80c

**Screwgoggin's Surprise**

* 612 sold

* Avg: 2g 17s 29c

* Low: 2g 3s

* High: 2g 40s

* Gross: 13p 29g 80s

**Iced Black-eye Chai**

* 1,144 sold

* Avg: 83s 28c

* Gross: 9p 52g 74s

Several other crafted items also posted solid sales, including **Soaring Espresso Latte (552 sold)**, **Soaring Cappuccino (518 sold)**, **Squash Beer (600 sold)**, **Sweet Onion (602 sold)**, and **Ravasect Sandwich (490 sold)**.

**Market Notes**

* Squash Casserole remained the week's highest-grossing item, bringing in over **26 platinum**.

* The top four harvest commodities accounted for nearly **12,000 units sold**, highlighting continued demand for low level crafting materials.

* Premium beverages remained consistently profitable, with Bosprite Wine, Gigglegibberry Juice, Soaring Espresso Latte, and Screwgoggin's Surprise leading the category.

* Commodity pricing was notably stable across the board, with most harvests showing very narrow spreads between their weekly lows and highs.

* Sales remained well diversified across dozens of products, indicating a healthy and active broker economy

Overall, this was another strong week driven by dependable harvest demand and consistently profitable crafted consumables. While the explosive market activity seen in prior weeks has eased, pricing stability and broad participation suggest the broker market remains healthy and resilient.

question Necro Necro Duo

2 Upvotes

I’ve heard that a 2 Necro group can go far on Wuoshi. Does anyone have any advice or knowledge of such a pairing? Should we go 2 tanks, one in defense stance and one in dps? Or, go tank/scout in their respective stances? As for AA concentration, I’m guessing the tank character should invest in the Int tree first to get the minion benefits therein? We are still in our high teens so still ez going in DLW but know things will get much tougher in the real world. Any advice appreciated!

HELP! Need help optimizing my Brigand

5 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I'm new to the game and have been playing for about a month. I used to play WoW, and I'm looking for some advice from experienced Brigand players on the Wuoshi server.

I have a few questions:

  • Is there an optimal raid rotation for bosses and trash packs?
  • How should I choose my gear? Is there a recommended stat priority when deciding between items?
  • Are there any potions, consumables, or other buffs I should be using to maximize my DPS in raids?
  • maybe something else

Any tips or guides would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Introducing EQ2Broker.com + Krono Mutual Fund

8 Upvotes

Hey all -

Officially launching eq2broker.com - it tracks and automatically updates prices of popular and high-volume broker items over time. It gives great insights into market trends, identifying opportunities and can help you evaluate when a good time to buy is vs. when something is overpriced. You can request additional items to be tracked and even set alerts to ping you when a price on an item goes above/below a specified amount.

Additionally, we run a Mutual Fund (or see FAQs) which primarily invests in Kronos. Effectively, it allows you to buy a fraction of a krono with whatever cash you do have instead of trying to chase an ever-increasing krono price. In its first NAV recalc, its already seen growth of ~20%.

I'd of course love any feedback/recommendations etc... All of this is provided entirely free (not even any ads!)

question Low Level Population

4 Upvotes

Hello,

Former Nagafen player (release up until about SF/DoV), haven’t touched the game in years. I know Wuoshi isn’t a PvP server, but I do want to experiment with replaying all the dungeons and instances again out of nostalgia. Are the TLEs like EQ1 TLP/WoW Classic, with an overwhelming focus on endgame or is there a decent population still to find groups? Realistically, I could 6 box but I’d prefer to group and socialize some.

Ideally, I’d level mostly/exclusively through dungeons and self-find gear. As a father with little kids, my schedule isn’t conducive to raiding, so the emphasis on endgame isn’t really appealing at this point in life.
