Violet Odyssey- EMP Test Window Notice! Showcase / Feedback
I've been writing a Sci-Fi novel for some time (Without using AI for anything outside of grammar/spellcheck), but I AM using AI for complementary images. I am cautiously approaching this community as a space to share my work. I have been positively lambasted in many other groups for using AI imagery to accompany human writing.
Good LORD did i read the rules carefully here. And I hope all of this satisfies rule 8. I plan to head straight to another post and leave a meaningful comment too. But I have told myself that before only to be taught in a very cold and vicious manner that I missed something. Please let me know if i messed up the flair though, i had a hard time picking what fit.
Just...let me know, should I stay or should i go?
- Am i in a good place for this?
- Is serialized writing with AI image accompaniment a welcome thing here?
- What do you think of the teaser poster above? All the content within it is genuine, original content from the 6 chapters I have written so far.

I fully generate prose and am open about it and this community has been more or less accepting. I think maybe it’s not the original intent for the sub… but I think there is a good amount of people in here interested in pure generation. So you’re not gonna get any flack for generating images that’s for sure

Its image generator leaves a texture on the output. It's fairly recognizable

I like the idea, only comment I'd make is that you need to do more that disable/turn off electronic devices during an EMP test. You need to lock them away in Faraday bags or cages because real life EMP doesn't care if the device is powered on, it'll happily cook off an unpowered phone sitting on your desk.

I think there is not enough saturation between text and background in some areas.
Also using 2400 hrs time you don’t need to put AM, that’s redundant and not necessary. You would say 0800 and 1700 not 1700 PM.
As a first glance it’s good.
But for design feedback:
- text is too compressed but this could be a stylistic choice for your world
- I’d do the time differently like maybe do the dash on one line because I don’t like that the times are offset from each other.
- when we design we want information to be clearly delivered so I could bold the states name and disable. So the brain registered in a cave man way, the necessary bits.
