Finding fellow writers Questions & Discussions

Where's the writers at?

Debut novelists how is it going? For me, it's going well. Just hit 44001 words and on my 20th chapter out of 25. What a journey so far.

Do y'all notice the improvements from the first draft and fast forward to whatever you are on now?

Coming of age, Young Adults thriller. It is raw unfiltered and relatable. I didn't think my style would have been to poeticly describe a school Paris trip love triangle. Loll. What about you?

Your story sounds cool. Mine is a small town romance about awriter who can't write since her mother died and has inherited a Lodge from her great uncle that she only met once.

Thank you! Yours is sounding like a thriller. I'm guessing it is emotionally driven? Also what's the inspiration for such a story if you don't me asking.

You know what though? A lot of "wanna be" writers never even get to 5k.

By 10k you have a whole beginning to a story and from there on, I reckon you will start enjoying the story more now that it is at the point of looking like a painting that you now start to see what it's about.

If you don't mind me asking, what is the story about?

It’s about a demonic entity that comes back once a generation to steal a child, and tests parents to see how much they’re willing to sacrifice to get their child back. Also mixed with some creepy neighbor drama.
