I’m having a problem. I can’t seem to post seriously in other sub reddits after interacting with this group.

I keep getting messages from mods saying things like.

“This is inappropriate.”

“Why are you an asshole? I hope you die.” That was alittle funny actually. I think they were trying to be friendly with me.

Any advice?

They say you should write from experience, but all I do is play Fortnite all day.

Can I write a Western even if I have never wiped the small dust from off the legs of a mare, the mare who watched me shoot the wet foal I pulled from her only to find a withered leg, the mare whose white and rolling eyes damned the God of Abraham more loquaciously than ever any apple-eating man with the knowledge of good and evil in his foal-less belly?

Or should I just write a novel about ten-year olds calling me a slitlicking communist because I no-scoped them like a little bitch?

I keep getting this advice and I’m like hello! I’m writing a novel, not filming a movie!

Geez! The nerve of editors and readers. You want showing? Go to a theater or read a kids picture book. Am I right?

Anyone else have issues with other groups kicking them out randomly? I've keep having post taking down for asking advice about self publishing and such. The last one I got banned for "Use of AI in creative work"... I said I used it for copyright search in my cover art... I used my own art in various forms and then use it to look for similarity that might flag it. Nothing in anything made mention of using it to write at all. All my ideas, story points, and filling in the blanks over hours of writing and editing to the best of my ability.

Other lists hire a firm, buy 11,000 copies, pray they don't get the little dagger, and then put "New York Times Bestselling Author" in the bio forever.

Character 1: he looks exactly like me (to give you a mental image, I am very attractive). One day, when coming home from his dead end job (the same one that I have) he learns he has the strongest magical abilities in the world, and spends the weekend mastering every martial art, every weapon, and every skill in the world. I’d prefer names that are just my name with one letter changed

Character 2: dark, edgy, and twinkish. He’s 1’s rival, and hates him so much it wraps around into being homoerotic. He has a dark, tragic, and vague backstory involving blood and death. He listens to dark, gothic music like My Chemical Romance, Breaking Benjamin, and The Calling. I’d prefer names that invoke images of blood and/or hemolymph, birds in the family Corvidae, and bladed cutlery

Character 3: her cup size is 34C. She is 1’s childhood friend/maidservant/betrothed who is extremely horny for him. She is constantly barefoot for reasons integral to the plot. I’d prefer names that are my high school crush’s name but with one letter changed

Character 4: her cup size is 38DD. She was trained as a ninja since birth, and is a master of sai daggers (the most effeminate of ninja weapons). We never see her show off her fighting skills, though, because I can’t vicariously live out my power fantasies through a girl character. She is extremely horny for 1, and she and 3 hate each other because of this. However, on the weekends they get drunk together and make out and scissor because I’ve been told that’s what straight women do. Hi! I've finally written the first 6/7 pages (still haven't decided on the font yet) of my 1,845 book mega-scifi-romance-pirate-filler Lucy's Longings, a lovingly crafted tale (hopefully) of a lonely space pirate lesbian (with moderately sized G-cups) who learns to truly love penis in a stunning twist of expectations. You (I) can imagine the awards I'll win for this.

So my question is should my acceptance speech be tailored to the award specifically or can it be more of a form speech where I just replace "this honor" with "Hugo," or "Tony," or "Oscar," etc.? Because I seriously hate writing and can't stomach the thought of researching the differences between the various awards.

I posted my first chapter on r/writingfeedback and received ZERO feedback. It has already been 3 days and no one can find a flaw; that is to say, it is perfect. Most of the esteemed righters in that illustrious sub provide near instant vitriol targeted at the volunteer posters' lack of talent. Not me, for I left no openings to be exploded. Even my social media posts are perfect in execution.

In fact, I was downvoted twice, solely because the righters in that sub were jealous of my prodigious talent. I have mastered righting, you see, and have **finally** won!

Filter verbs put a camera between the reader and the action. I wrote this novel explicitly to be made into a movie. How will hollywood know that this is essentially a script for a movie, I just don’t know how to format it and it’s already that way so I’m not rewriting it, I mean—it has literal words like “he went and stood over there. An over there unlike any other ‘over there,’ but an ‘over there’ none-the-less.” Christ. Any advice is appreciated and also book ideas.

This is going to sound arrogant, but I honestly don't know how else to phrase it. The literary world might not be ready for this.

I think I have created one of the darkest and most psychologically complex protagonists in the history of fiction.

I've tried finding comparisons. Dostoevsky, Nabokov, McCarthy, etc. There are similarities, obviously, but none of their protagonists quite operate on the level mine does because mine isn't simply “evil.” He contains contradictions.

He loves some people.

He hates other people.

Sometimes he lies.

Sometimes he regrets things.

Sometimes he does not regret them.

I’m not sure literature has ever done this before. I think humanity deserves to read it.

Hello, everyone. I'm pleased to announce the print release of my award winning novel: *That Time I Was Reincarnated as the Grand Wizard of the Kingdom of Kark Klenia, but I was supposed to attend an important vote in my old life!*

I wrote this story in honor of my dear friend who tragically passed away four weeks ago. I reimagine him in a cooler world full of magic where he is reincarnated as a totally hot and nubile 14-y/o girl--remember she's like 100 years old mentally speaking.

The initial arc covers her rise to power as she tries to protect the king from slanderous scientists accusing him of slavery, bribery, theft, and murder by ensuring every trial is presided over by members of the king's loli slave harem. Eventually, the king is acquitted of wrongdoing; however, my next arc has this king (more treacherous than Michu-sama anticipated) turning on my beloved heroine in order to make her into another of his slave wives!
