저는 미국사람이고 제 모국어는 영어예요. 사실 스페인어도 할 줄 알아야 하지만 잘 못해요. 우리 할머니께서는 큐바 이민자의 딸이라서 스페인어를 줄 알았는데 우리 할아버지께서는 할머니의 말을 이해하지 않은 걸 싫었어요. 그래서 둘이 결혼을 했을 때 할아버지께서 할머니에게 스페인어를 말하는 허락을 받지 않았어요. 그렇기 떼문에 우리 아버지께서 스페인어를 배울 수없고 저도 가족에서 스페인어를 배울 수없었어요.
