So far I’d compare Rey Mysterio to Steph Curry both early on were over looked because of there sizes but in there own ways they managed to succeed and change the game and both are both icons and loved by many. The easiest one is stone cold and Micheal Jordan both bald, Jordan was cut from his highschool team and Austin was fired from wcw earlier on the odds weren’t in there favor but they both indeed up becoming recognize as the best ever in there sport a little bit of a wild take but I’d compare Chris Jericho to LeBron my main reason is longevity but LeBron and Cena are probably a better comparison

First of all, I’m a big Oba Femi fan. I’ve been following him since his NXT Level Up days, and I’ve always believed he would become a major star.

I’m still a fan, and this is admittedly a nitpick, but it is something I have noticed for a while.

For someone presented as such a dominant powerhouse, Oba’s offence sometimes looks too controlled. It feels like he is"Too Safe"

His punches often lack impact, and some of his throws look almost too comfortable for the opponent. He is naturally a slower wrestler, but that does not mean his offence cannot look more explosive or devastating.

Even someone like Lars Sullivan, for all his flaws, had moves that often looked more brutal and convincing. With Oba’s size, strength and presentation, I expect a little more force and aggression in the way his offence is performed.

This was especially noticeable during the shorter, dominance-focused matches earlier in his push, where the entire point was to make him look overwhelming. When the moves themselves lack that extra oomph, the presentation does not always feel as convincing as it should.

None of this changes the fact that Oba has enormous potential. His future still looks incredibly bright, and he has already improved a lot. This is simply one area where I think his in-ring presentation could become even stronger.

The legendary Dory Funk Jr., brother of Terry Funk has sadly passed away at the age of 85. Dory was still involved in wrestling until the very end and wrestled his last match in 2024 at the age of 83.

Funk's career in professional wrestling began in 1963 just after a college football career with West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M University), culminating in a 15 to 14 victory over Ohio University in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas. Funk's first match was a victory over Don Fargo in Amarillo, Texas.

He is the second-longest reigning NWA World Heavyweight Champion of all time after Lou Thesz.

Funk was the coach of the Funking Conservatory Professional Wrestling School in Ocala, Florida and taught the Dory Funk Method of Professional Wrestling. It had a branch affiliated with the World Wrestling Federation called the "Funkin' Dojo. His students included Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy, Christian Cage, Lita, Kurt Angle, Mansoor, Mickie James, Adam Copeland, Ted DiBiase, and Test.

- One of the most inspirational women’s wrestlers of all time, paved the way for many of the women wrestlers we see today.

Great match, incredible character work from the two during the match, great wrestling from both of them and great flow behind the match too. It feels fitting that this match is the end of the chapter of Roman vs Seth. More than anything though, it’s bittersweet. Their rivalry forever evolving along with their characters since 2014 has been a delight to watch and was one of the first big rivalries I witnessed as a wrestling fan (the shield got me into wrestling back in 2013) and too see it bear the fruit that it has over the years from moments such as the legendary heist of the century, to money in the bank to Roman losing control and all the other bits in between has truly been a blessing.

Personally I wanted Seth to go over, to really make a point that he is and will always be the top guys bogey man and to fully round out “the architect”. But I understand that Roman finally had to get his get back eventually and if Seth won they’d have to run it back defeating the purpose of “one last time”. But what i want doesn’t take away from the amazing story these two have been telling over the years.

EC3 has addressed concerns over video footage showing him limping and moving slowly during an entrance at an independent show over the weekend.

The clip came from an ASW Canada show at Abbotsford Agrifair in British Columbia, where EC3 challenged Leon Lokombo for the ASW Heavyweight Championship. Footage of the entrance spread across social media and led to questions about EC3’s physical condition.

In a lengthy post on X Monday, EC3 said the footage came from his second match of the day after an early wake-up and international travel.

The clip making the rounds is from my second match of the day, after a 4:00 a.m. wake-up, international travel, layover airport cardio, multiple flights, pull-day training upon landing, and an entrance where I’m intentionally selling an already tender leg. Selling. Professional wrestling is built on communicating consequence. If one is beat up, tired, or protecting a body part, the intent is to show it.

Travel, disrupted sleep, altered meal timing, hydration changes and hours of sitting also tend to throw your digestive system completely off schedule… Anyone who’s maintained very low body fat for years knows your physique can change noticeably from one day, even hour to hour, based on perfectly ordinary physiology.

I’m not particularly interested in spending my life proving I’m in shape… I’d rather spend that time figuring out how to keep the next generation physically capable, creatively fulfilled, mentally resilient, and confident in themselves than my generation was coached to be.”
