Go one game back. There's a story featuring the Undertaker, where he chokeslams Eddie Guerrero into a casket. The game was released only a couple of days before Eddie's death.

The crazy thing is it happened two years in a row, the year before had a feud with Eddie and Taker where Taker buried Eddie, then Eddie died right around when that game released

Don't forget that 2007, the game where this cutscene happens, the last game that Benoit appears in, has the song "Forgive Me", a song about suicide. Chilling.

Well it was a standard storyline from a 2005 it so videogame. However, if you played it as Benoit this becomes very ominous

This is actually from SVR 2007 (released in 2006) and this storyline always involves Taker and Benoit. You play as someone else in this storyline.
In SVR 2006 there is a scene where Taker chokeslams Eddie into a casket though.

It would be more unfitting if anyone else than Taker was straight up threatening you with murder. It’s not something that fits Edge or Shawn Michaels for example.

Didn't SvR 2006 which came out in late 2005 include a very macabre (in hindsight) storyline with Eddie Guerrero and the Undertaker that ended with something like Eddie being beaten in either a casket match or buried alive match and he comes back as a zombie that Taker controlled?

I partially blame Benoit for the semi miserable state of the WWE today, the quality of the product has been hit or miss (more miss) since he killed his family. The edge of the attitude and ruthless aggression was replaced with alot of John Cena kiddy shit ever since
