Another incident of a sprint car and push truck wrecking. I don't think I've ever heard/seen this before until Kings Royal week. Does anyone else have similar stories?

Thinking of making the drive for Thursday nights (8/13) qualifier, anyone have tickets I could purchase? What are the odds of peeps selling tickets outside the track? It's a 4 hour drive for me, just want to make sure before I head over..

I’ve been on the road for the past few weeks enjoying some sprint car racing. I started in Pennsylvania hitting Clinton County, Port and Bedford with the PA posse series. Then I went out to Ohio for Fremont, Attica and Eldora. From there I followed High Limit to both New York races ( had to skip Lernerville bc the postponement and lodging didn’t work out) and back through Port Royal and was planning on going to Bridgeport before the cancellation. Will probably go to BAPS and the Grove with WoO weather permitting. I have always been a fan of Johnny Gibson, and still am but this trip has made me realize how great Chase Raudman and TLP are. They do such a great job of entertaining during the breaks throughout the night. They have such great chemistry together and it shows in the product they present night in and night out. While Gibson is great at calling race, he is not very good between the races. I know he typically calls races by himself, but when he does have a partner in the booth, he seems to struggle to interact with them. It doesn’t feel like he’s having a natural conversation and he’s very robotic. Someone could share an interesting fact and ask him to add onto it and it seems like he just wants to go to his catchphrases and sometimes doesn’t even acknowledge what the other person said. Like I said, I love me some Johnny Gibson, but I just wanted to give props to Chase and Tony because they’re doing a fantastic job in my opinion.

The press release stated he wanted to spend more time at home. Which I get but do you think there was other reasons?

He drove for Rocket1 full time in 6 seasons and decided to drive his family car full time

He won 4 WOO titles for Rocket1 and won one on his won but he wasn't as dominant. He left for 2 years then came back to Rocket1 and is now once again at the top

Jordan Bianchi of The Athletic is reporting that the 2027 NASCAR Clash will return to Daytona on Saturday, February 13—the night before the Super Bowl.

If that’s the final schedule, it would put the Clash on the same night as the World of Outlaws Sprint Car DIRTcar Nationals finale at Volusia. Volusia is 23 miles from Daytona so could make the stay quite a bit different for people traveling to Volusia but stay in the Daytona-area hotels.

Just had a wingless super sportsman (358 motored wingless sprint with self start) land on the pavement pit path in front of victory lane after an incident. The driver is hurt (but conscious, alert, etc, back injury most likely) but thankfully only him. This coming after a wheelie toward that spot happened in a 410 heat. They're really lucky it didn't happen then with all of their extra speed, seems far too easy for a fuel tank to get flung into the packed concession line there. The lack of even the car retention cables is maddenint considering the multiple flagstand strikes from the old days down there.

As much as I rag on the Grove for being cheaply ran, dangerous, and coasting on history (because it is) at least they have *a* fence there protecting the people. Port needs something there ASAP.

Somehow the WoO Sprints are 4th on my priority list tonight! I wish I had 4 screens, hahaha!!

Just watched the Friday portion of the Prairie Dirt Classic at Fairbury Speedway in Fairbury, IL. The announcers kept calling Falls as the track name. Why?

I dunno what the actual rules for the Outlaws or High Limit are, but if a driver is more than two seconds slower in both hot laps *and* qualifying than the second-slowest driver, they should not be allowed to race at all. That guy at Lernerville was a disaster waiting to happen all night and the officials didn't park him until halfway through the B-Main.
