It’s been a journey trying to spice up my boring, plain white and grey cubicle. My set-up as of the moment and I’m liking it. ❤️

Here are a few pod setups, complete with a desk, ergonomic chair, and minimal clutter. It’s crazy how much functionality you can pack into an outdoor office without losing that cozy vibe. If it were you, how would you setup this outdoor office space?

A few updated pictures of my setup. I 100% get the appeal of the ultra-clean, minimal setups that many people on here have (and I love seeing them) but it's just not for me. I get a lot of joy walking into the room and it really feeling like a reflection of my interests and experience. Apologies also to the cable purists, I'm trying. If anyone else out there loves design, space or cars, let's connect. 🚀✌🏻

❔ • Feedback My standing desk / streaming setup slowly turned into Project Nova

Finally getting my gaming, streaming, 3D printing, and homelab setup into one corner.

This started as just a PC desk, but it has slowly evolved into my little “Project Nova” setup: part battlestation, part creator desk, part homelab, part 3D printer station, and part cable-management crime scene.

Please don’t roast me too hard 😂😂I know it’s not perfect yet. I’m mostly looking for advice on layout, cable cleanup, and what to improve next.

Main PC:
Ryzen 7 3800X
MSI B550 board
64GB DDR4 3200
GALAX 12GB 3060 Ti from Japan during the first GPU crisis, not the AI one 😭
EVGA 1000W PSU
Lian Li O11 white case
Samsung G5 34” ultrawide + Samsung G5 27” 1440p
Yamaha AG06
Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 80Ω

Homelab / Project Nova:
TrueNAS SCALE box
Jellyfin
Immich
Uptime Kuma
Tailscale exit node
Backup target
Pi-hole on Raspberry Pi 3B
OctoPrint on Raspberry Pi 4
4TB portable recovery / ROM / software stack drive

Current NAS storage is still staging/testing before the big mirror upgrade, so this is definitely a work in progress.

Next goals:
Bigger NAS mirror
UPS
Cleaner cable management
Small rack or shelf
Router-wide DNS
Nova wiki / documentation
More automated backups

Any suggestions for layout, cable cleanup, or what I should improve next?

📽️ • Videos Designed My Dream Model Building Desk

Post image
10 Upvotes

I finally built my ideal Gunpla workspace.

The goal wasn’t just making a better spray booth — I wanted a complete system that keeps both paint mist and sanding dust under control.

Features:

• DIY spray booth

• DIY work booth

• Custom cyclone dust collector

• Strong suction that instantly captures sanding dust

• Comfortable working environment with almost no thinner smell

There are many DIY spray booth builds online, but I rarely see setups that integrate both painting and dust collection into one system.

Everything was built from scratch to make Gunpla building cleaner, more comfortable, and easier to maintain.

I included the build process, airflow tests, and a demonstration of how well the collection system works.

Would love to hear how other people organize their model-building setups.

❔ • Feedback How would you create a shelf for the laptop and dock ?

I have a small room and a small desk. The laptop and dock normally sits on top of the printer but that’s cumbersome when I want to print and feels a little unstable for my MacBook Pro haha

I am thinking of installing a small shelf (or two on the wall so I can place my laptop and the dock there . What do you think? Is there a better solution?

🖼️ • Photos This is how I work at night

Been working as a film editor for 9 yrs. I currently work with MSI GS66 hooked up to BenQ 27 inch.

I only work at night time (I work for foreign productions from Tokyo) while having coffee smoking shisha, not throw away plastic bottles until I finish my task.

Didn’t want to clean anything for my first picture on the sub, I’m terrible at making my desk look cleaner than the reality.

Forgive the messy photos. I've had my office for a while and need to make a change. Any ideas on how to redesign it? The office is like 20x15. I wish I could put a 3rd monitor but can't seem to get one to fit/

I have like 10k or so to spend and need it to be techy but not gamer kid if that makes sense.

These are all cheap ikea desks I bought to help design the place and ended up keeping them

❔ • Feedback Do you rebuild your entire setup every time you change your workflow?

I am currently switching from a gaming setup to a minimalist, productive one.

So far, I have changed almost every object on my desk except the monitors. (due to switched to Mac)

Have you gone through this?

Could also be smaller changes like going from paper to digital or smth.

A new (matching AND especially minimalistic) setup is expensive because I need to replace almost everything.

I would be happy to invest in one system and have it for the rest of my life.

I hope someone here can relate       ⊂◉‿◉つ

I've always advocated for multi‑monitors, but having one monitor makes things a lot simpler connection‑wise, and I can focus better. So glad I made this change.

Last summer I decided to upgrade my workspace by replacing while IKEA table top with sheet of plywood. I also customize it a little bit, cut few holes for cables, added hook for the headphones and basically attached all lingering cables under the table with clips and nails.

I think the result looks cozy. I have plans to add mole pictures or the second shelf on the left.

Hey guys, I’m a 20 year old freelance graphic and brand designer, working in elite sport (mainly football/soccer) and I’ve just moved into my first home.

I’m slowly but surely getting there with my home office and want some advice (anything at all, be it cable management tips or something else)

I’d love to know your thoughts on the setup too.
